2025 marks the first national high school exam to be held under the 2018 General Education Program. This not only changes the way of learning and testing but also sets new requirements for career guidance. The first point is that there will be no early admission. This does not affect students' admission because early admission only helps students determine whether they can pass those schools.

The second new point is that training institutions using high school results must have grade 12 results. Third, institutions using foreign language certificates must convert points, due to the input results and training capacity of the institutions. Fourth, students wishing to study at college are allowed to register on the information portal of the Ministry of Education and Training. For training institutions that stipulate bonus points, priority points, and total bonus points must not exceed 10% of the maximum score.

In 2025, Hanoi Capital University will also enroll 3 new majors, 2 majors in the pedagogical group: Information Technology Pedagogy and English Pedagogy; and Economic Management.
