First time "raiding" a practice workshop, students are excited about engineering

With the desire to help students visualize more clearly about the careers after graduating from high school, Huynh Tan Phat High School (District 7) organized a tour to learn about the vocational training environment at Cao Thang Technical College (District 1). The activity took place in an exciting, open atmosphere, attracting more than 150 students to participate on the morning of April 12.

Students were divided into 6 small groups to visit the following faculties/departments: Mechanics, Dynamic Mechanics, Refrigeration Technology, Information Technology, Electricity - Electronics and Economics . Here, students were able to directly observe the workshop, teaching equipment, and were informed by teachers about the characteristics of each major, entry requirements and recruitment needs.

Mr. Nguyen Quang Vinh, Principal of Huynh Tan Phat High School, said that organizing career guidance activities through field trips is a concrete step to help students know their passion. Thanks to that, they will be bold enough to register for their favorite career.

"Many parents think that their children must pass the university entrance exam to be successful. However, nowadays, the trend of studying vocational training at intermediate and college levels is chosen by many people. Because this is a training system that focuses on practice, practical application and exposure to the profession earlier than university. Many successful businessmen and skilled engineers graduate from college environments," Mr. Vinh emphasized.

Trong Tin, a student at Huynh Tan Phat High School, excitedly said: "I am very impressed with the modern practice rooms and the enthusiastic guidance of the lecturers. After the visit, I will consider studying automotive technology at this school."

The first time experiencing practice, the male student began to love engineering fields.

According to a representative of Cao Thang Technical College, this is a regular activity to promote career guidance, helping students access a variety of study options after graduating from high school, especially high-quality vocational training models.

This experiential activity has given students the opportunity to step out of the classroom and into a real-life work environment – ​​something that no textbook can replace. This is not only a career guidance activity but also a message: "Success does not lie in any degree but in suitability, passion and real work ability".
