Regarding the case of the G7 taxi driver being beaten in front of Quang Giang garage, the leader of My Dinh 2 Ward Police said they are completing procedures for the victim to undergo injury assessment.
On March 12, speaking with VietNamNet reporter, Mr. D.TD (born in 1984, in Me Linh, Hanoi) - G7 taxi driver who was beaten in front of Quang Giang bus station - said that after nearly a week of being beaten, his head still hurts and he feels very dizzy, making it difficult for him to walk. Therefore, Mr. D. is still in the hospital for further treatment.
“After being beaten, I went to the hospital for treatment and was examined by doctors. The doctors gave me four stitches on my head. My shoulder blade in front of my chest is still bruised,” said Mr. D.
According to Mr. D., after he was admitted to the hospital, the people believed to be the owners of Quang Giang bus company visited him twice. The first time they offered financial support but Mr. D.'s family did not accept it, and the second time they only came to visit and encourage him.
“The police asked me to write a request for an injury assessment. I wrote the request but it has been almost a week and I still haven’t been taken for an assessment. My family still has to pay all the hospital fees. Recently, I called the My Dinh 2 Ward Police to ask about the incident and received the answer that it was being verified,” Mr. D. confided.
Today, in response to Mr. D.'s question, the leader of My Dinh 2 Ward Police said that the unit is completing procedures for the victim to undergo injury assessment.
Meanwhile, the leader of the People's Committee of My Dinh 2 Ward said: "The police are urgently investigating and clarifying the incident. The police also requested the ward to report to the district to come up with a plan to clear the area at 55 Nguyen Hoang to build a flower garden on schedule. The ward is working on this."
Previously, at around 4:30 a.m. on March 6, Mr. D. drove a taxi with license plate 30F 355XX of G7 taxi company to the area in front of house number 55 Nguyen Hoang. While waiting for a customer, Mr. D. went to house number 70 (opposite) to drink water. At this time, a man came out to lock Mr. D's taxi wheel.
"I ran over to talk to him, hoping he would sympathize and open the lock. However, he cursed, saying that this was the Quang Giang garage area so he couldn't park. When I said if I was wrong, I would apologize and not curse harshly, he used the car lock to repeatedly hit me on the head, causing me to collapse on the spot," Mr. D. said.
Mr. D. was then taken to 19-8 Hospital for treatment. His family reported to My Dinh 2 Ward Police.
