Ms. Nguyen Thi L. (wife of the male shipper who was assaulted) said that due to difficult family circumstances, the couple had only been in Hanoi to work for more than a year when the incident of her husband being assaulted occurred.
On the afternoon of February 11, in the hospital hallway, Ms. Nguyen Thi L. (wife of the male shipper who was assaulted) said that she was very worried about her husband's health.
Ms. L. shared that she and her husband are from Thanh Hoa, but due to difficult family circumstances, they came from their hometown to Hanoi to work for hire. She works for a small shop, and her husband works as a shipper for a cake manufacturing facility in alley 310/50 Nghi Tam (Yen Phu ward, Tay Ho district).
"My husband and I have two children and rent a house in Tay Ho district. Every day, we tell each other to work hard to earn an income to cover our living expenses," said Nguyen Thi L.
According to Ms. L, immediately after the incident, she took her husband to the hospital for examination, but the doctors required further monitoring.
Regarding the incident, the leader of the People's Committee of Tay Ho District (Hanoi) said that he had directed the District Police to urgently verify and strictly handle the case.
Currently, Yen Phu Ward Police have invited the Lexus driver, the male shipper and witnesses to the headquarters to work and record statements. However, the identity of the person who beat the male shipper has not been informed.
Also in the morning of the same day, at Yen Phu Ward Police Station, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hung (31 years old, the male shipper who was assaulted) was given a statement by the police and taken for injury assessment.

Previously, on the evening of February 10, a clip was circulated on social media recording a young man believed to be a shipper being assaulted by a middle-aged man, suspected to be due to a traffic collision. A security camera at a household in alley 310/50 Nghi Tam recorded a scene where a young man driving a motorbike had a conflict with a man driving a Lexus. After that, the man driving the Lexus repeatedly used his hands to hit and punch the young man in the face. Not stopping there, this man repeatedly "kneeled" and kicked the young man in the face. The climax of the incident was when the man took off the male shipper's helmet to use as an attack weapon. By the morning of February 11, the leader of Tay Ho District Police confirmed the incident, and at the same time, Yen Phu Ward Police invited those involved to the headquarters to take statements. |
