Pearson launches new PTE test center in Vietnam

In particular, for the first time, Pearson has brought the PTE exam to the Mekong Delta and the Central region, making it easier for learners in these areas to access international certification. The new PTE test centers include: Can Tho University (Can Tho City), Scotch AGS (Ho Chi Minh City), Health Careers International (Hanoi), Duy Tan University (Da Nang City).

As a completely computer-based test, PTE Academic delivers fast, reliable results, helping learners be more proactive in achieving their academic and career goals, opening the door for Vietnamese learners to study and work opportunities globally.

In Vietnam, the Ministry of Education and Training has recognized PTE Academic as one of the standard foreign language certificates, serving learning, enrollment and career development according to Decision No. 2383/QD-BGDDT. This decision gives Vietnamese learners a prestigious, transparent and internationally recognized choice.

According to the 2025 High School Graduation Exam Regulations issued by the Ministry of Education and Training on December 24, 2024, candidates with a PTE Academic score of 43 or higher will be exempted from the English exam in the 12th grade graduation exam. This is an important step forward, helping students have more flexible options in demonstrating foreign language proficiency, while facilitating the university admission process.

For higher education institutions, PTE Academic scores can be used in undergraduate and postgraduate admissions and training in Vietnam, helping universities diversify admission methods, improve the quality of incoming students and optimize the admission process, ensuring the selection of candidates with appropriate foreign language proficiency.
