A trader who specializes in purchasing aromatic squash here shared: In the hot summer, aromatic squash is easy to consume, easy to preserve, and easy to transport long distances (mainly packed in foam boxes for transport by car). Fragrant squash can be processed into delicious soups, so it is favored by many consumers. We mainly collect goods to sell in Hanoi and the northern provinces. At this time, aromatic squash is "out of stock", so we have to be present at the squash fields every day to purchase.

Households growing squash added: Growing squash does not require much investment, mainly using bamboo poles to make trellis, needing to prepare the soil carefully to make beds and fertilize with decomposed manure. After about 40 days of planting, squash begins to be harvested daily, and can be harvested continuously for 3-4 months. During the growth period of squash, which lasts over 1 month, farmers often have to prune, fertilize, and hoe the soil, until the squash covers the trellis for about 2 months before the squash bears fruit.

Currently, the commune is building a brand of clean luffa in an organic direction to increase economic value per unit area.
