
MSB and Baokim cooperate to promote cross-border payments
Vietnam Maritime Commercial Joint Stock Bank (MSB) and Bao Kim E-commerce Joint Stock Company (Baokim) announced the signing of a memorandum of understanding to promote non-cash payments and cross-border payments, responding to the globalization trend in the financial sector. In the context of an increasingly developing digital economy, non-cash payments have become an inevitable trend, receiving encouragement from authorities and support from consumers. In particular, with the promulgation of Decree 52/2024/ND-CP, a solid legal corridor has been created for international payment activities, opening up cooperation opportunities for major partners around the world. Grasping that trend, MSB has joined hands with Baokim - the first payment intermediary in the Vietnamese e-commerce market, to promote non-cash payments and expand cross-border payments.
Through the memorandum of understanding, MSB and Baokim will provide payment solutions, payment infrastructure and other products and services to partners and/or customers; at the same time, introduce each party's digital products and services to customers of the partners who have a need to use them. The two parties are committed to building and developing a safe, fast and efficient payment system, providing maximum support for customers in the cross-border e-commerce group and global payment service businesses. "The cooperation between MSB and Baokim is a combination of strengths, leveraging the technology and resources of both parties to bring the best experiences to customers through integrated payment solutions, helping customers easily make transactions, manage finances and enjoy the most convenient services", Mr. Nguyen The Minh - Deputy General Director of MSB emphasized.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Mr. Truong Duc Thuan, Director of Baokim affirmed: “MSB is an important strategic partner in promoting cashless payments in Vietnam of Baokim.
