Opening the new urban area of ​​Binh Minh

From a remote, underdeveloped fishing village, Binh Minh commune is moving strongly every day and is very close to becoming a new urban area.

Binh Minh new urban area is planned as one of 4 new urban areas to be formed by 2025 according to the urban system development plan of Quang Nam province for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050 of the provincial planning.

Along with Duy Hai - Duy Nghia communes (Duy Xuyen), Binh Minh is one of two new urban areas planned in the coastal area, with many strong changes in the urban landscape in recent times.

In Binh Minh commune, there are currently two large-scale tourism projects: Vinpearl Nam Hoi An resort complex and Bliss Hoi An Beach Resort & Wellness.

In addition to promoting large-scale investment projects to develop tourism, local authorities also identify developing a community tourism model combined with traditional craft villages in existing residential areas in Tan An and Binh Tinh villages.

According to Mr. Vo Van Hung - Chairman of Thang Binh District People's Committee, the planning aims to build Binh Minh as a sub-regional center, serving the resettlement needs of the coastal strip; at the same time providing labor for tourist and resort areas in this area.

With the central location of the province, the main spatial axes of Binh Minh urban development will be organized into 10 axes connecting North - South and East - West.

According to the Department of Construction, in addition to the main North-South axis, Vo Chi Cong route connecting coastal urban areas such as Dien Nam - Dien Ngoc, Hoi An, Duy Hai - Duy Nghia, Binh Minh, Tam Phu, Tam Hoa, 3 other North-South axes will be organized to connect existing central areas with commercial service areas, tourism services in the North and South of the urban area.

In addition, 6 East-West axes are oriented to connect Binh Minh urban area with the western area of ​​the urban area including: Cay Coc road to Binh Minh beach - new national highway 14E, DH9.TB road and 4 new planned routes.

According to the master plan for the new urban area of ​​Binh Minh, Thang Binh district for the period up to 2030 and 2045 approved by the Provincial People's Committee, many new kindergartens, primary schools, secondary schools, and medical stations in Binh Minh commune will be built and expanded...

Notably, a new general hospital will be built; private hospital investment will be promoted and called for to meet the medical examination and treatment needs of the people in each stage of development.

It is forecasted that the population of Binh Minh new urban area will reach about 25,000 people in 2030 and about 55,000 people in 2045. It is known that the Provincial People's Committee has assigned relevant parties to complete the Binh Minh Urban Development Program in October 2025; at the same time, submit the urban type recognition project in November 2025 to complete the formation of Binh Minh new urban area in 2025.
