Model of self-governing clans on security and order in Trieu Son

With the efforts in propaganda and mobilization of the police at all levels and local authorities, up to now, Trieu Son district has built and continued to replicate many models of "Self-managed clans on security and order" in villages and communes.

Model of self-governing clans on security and order in Trieu Son Local authorities and Dong Tien Commune Police met with members of the Nguyen Huu clan to promote the clan's self-governing model of security and order.

Mr. Nguyen Dang Vinh, Head of Nguyen Dang clan (village 8, Minh Son commune) said that in 2019, the Nguyen Dang clan coordinated with the district police and the Minh Son commune government to establish a self-managed clan model on security and order. In order to carry out propaganda and mobilize clan members to live and work in accordance with the law, and strive to build a cultural life in residential areas, every year on the clan's ancestor's death anniversary, the clan council organizes for all families to sign a commitment that no one violates the law; does not participate in drug trafficking, storage, transportation and injection; no teenagers involved in social evils... Also at the ancestor worship ceremony, families and individuals with achievements will be rewarded, violators will be publicly criticized and must pledge not to re-offend. With the active response of each member, a solid shield has been created, preventing social evils from infiltrating and developing in the clan. In particular, the work of reforming wrongdoers in the community and educating bad youth is a focus of the family. Thanks to that, many children of the family have learned and recognized right from wrong, thereby taking good care of their studies and passing entrance exams to colleges and universities; many disputes and complaints have also been resolved well right from the grassroots level.

Similarly, the Nguyen Huu clan self-management model on security and order in Dong Tien commune was established in 2021. After more than 2 years of operation, it has brought practical results. 90 households in the clan have coordinated with the police force to propagate and mobilize clan members to well implement the Party's policies and the State's laws, and actively participate in preventing and denouncing crimes. Mr. Nguyen Huu Tu, Head of the clan, said: Every month, the clan propagates and mobilizes descendants to practice a civilized lifestyle and a cultured family. Specifically, responding to the movement to protect national security. Since the implementation of the model, no member of the clan has violated the law and all have well complied with the policies and guidelines of the Party and the State, contributing positively to socio-economic development.

Not only does the family do a good job of self-management and self-prevention in crime prevention and control, but it also pays special attention to promoting learning and talent, encouraging children and grandchildren to cultivate, practice, and participate in healthy cultural and artistic activities, staying away from social evils.

Thanks to the good implementation of propaganda, mobilization and practical, specific actions of members in the model of "Self-managed clans on security and order", the number of people violating the law and committing social evils in Trieu Son district has decreased compared to before; the members' awareness of law compliance has been increasingly raised; conflicts and disputes between households have been resolved by the model's Management Board and prestigious people in the clan, contributing to ensuring security and order, keeping the village and hamlet peaceful. It is worth mentioning that the members of the clan always promote the spirit of solidarity, sharing, helping each other to develop the economy; at the same time, creating favorable material and spiritual conditions for those who have made mistakes to quickly reintegrate into the community... Thanks to that, the rate of families in the clan meeting the criteria of cultural families is always higher the following year than the previous year; the number of poor and near-poor households has decreased sharply.

Captain Le Vuong Anh, Chief of Dong Tien Commune Police, said: The model of “Clans self-managing security and order” in the locality is operating effectively, the clan council and the clan head have all played a pioneering and exemplary role. The local government will have closer guidance to replicate the model to many clans in the area.
