Promoting the exploitation of utilities from smart villages in Hoang Hoa

Since Giang Hai village, Hoang Chau commune (Hoang Hoa) successfully built a smart new-style rural village in 2024, the work of Mr. Nguyen Trong Truoc, deputy secretary of the Party cell and head of Giang Hai village has become much more convenient than before. He no longer has to go to each house to propagate and mobilize people to implement the policies of the Party and State or to distribute meeting notices... Because now, digital technology has supported him a lot.

Mr. Nguyen Trong Truoc shared: “Currently, we have established zalo groups for the village; the loudspeakers also apply information technology... These are important information channels that help save a lot of time and effort in implementing propaganda, mobilizing, and collecting opinions from villagers. At the same time, it is a place for cadres and villagers to exchange, share, and grasp news and information of villagers. Along with that, the village executive committee also deployed the installation of the digital transformation application of Hoang Hoa district through the interactive app HOANGHOAS to reflect opinions and recommendations on the results of building a smart village".

Giang Hai village currently has 205 households with 825 people. Through screening and assessment, the rate of households in the village with fiber optic internet installation is 100%; the rate of people of working age with smartphones is 88.3%; 86.75% of people of working age have skills to use online public services and essential digital services; 83% of people of working age have electronic payment accounts; 84.58% of people of working age have digital signatures; 100% of production and business establishments in the village accept electronic payments; the village has an online conference system connected to the commune's online conference system; a security camera system is installed on the village's main roads and community activity points; Community activity points are equipped with wifi, computers connected to the internet... This helps people take advantage of technological advantages to promote trade and services development, expand production and business types, meet production and consumption needs and actively contribute to socio-economic development; promote local cashless payments, bringing many practical benefits in all areas of social life.

From the practical benefits, building a smart new rural village on a digital platform in Giang Hai village has created a ripple effect, inspiring other localities in the district. Up to now, in Hoang Hoa district, fiber optic broadband network infrastructure has covered 100% of villages, residential groups and 85% of households with internet connection; the rate of people with electronic payment accounts has reached 75.3%; 100% of beneficiaries of social security policies have registered for bank accounts, e-wallets, and Mobile money accounts. The district also effectively maintains communication channels with people through the zalo OA system to exchange between government agencies and people to remove difficulties and exchange information conveniently and quickly...

Ms. Le Thi Hien, Deputy Head of the Department of Culture, Science and Information of Hoang Hoa district, said: The model of smart rural villages is an inevitable trend in the era of industry 4.0. It not only improves the operational efficiency of Party committees and authorities, ensures political security, social order and safety, but also contributes to strongly promoting the socio-economic development of the locality and brings many practical benefits to the people. Currently, Hoang Hoa district has successfully built 4 smart rural villages in 4 model rural communes and is continuing to promote and encourage the remaining localities to actively strive and build to bring a convenient and good life to the people.
