Head of Department 2, Provincial People's Procuracy Le Xuan Tien, said: In order to improve the quality of inspection activities in handling crime reports and denunciations and recommendations for prosecution, the People's Procuracy at 2 levels in the province has proactively disseminated relevant legal provisions on receiving and handling crime reports and denunciations to officials and prosecutors in the sector. At the same time, coordinate with competent agencies to organize classes to propagate, disseminate and educate the law on crime prevention and control for officials, civil servants of agencies, officials in charge of judicial work at districts, communes and people in the province. The content and form of propaganda and training are suitable for each subject; thereby raising the awareness of agencies, organizations and individuals in denouncing and reporting crimes, contributing positively to the fight against crime.

In addition, the People's Procuracy at both levels in the province also maintains a regular duty regime, grasps and manages criminal information from the investigation agency; maintains a crime denunciation mailbox, grasps crime reports from other sources such as: through the mass media, direct denunciations of citizens... At the same time, closely monitors the settlement of the investigation agency to ensure timely, correct person, correct crime, and correct law. The People's Procuracy at both levels also coordinates with the investigation agency and relevant units to maintain daily closing of received reports; compare and review the acceptance and handling of weekly crime denunciations and monthly meetings to grasp, manage, supervise, classify and handle crime reports and denunciations and recommend prosecution, discuss and resolve outstanding crime reports and denunciations and learn from shortcomings and weaknesses in coordination work.

For complex and sensitive crime reports and denunciations, the leaders of the People's Procuracy proactively meet with the heads of the police investigation agencies to develop a verification and settlement plan in accordance with the provisions of law. In particular, the People's Procuracy at 2 levels has proactively exercised the right to prosecute right from the time the prosecution handles crime reports; for example, after examining the scene, the prosecutor and the investigator study documents, evaluate evidence, and consider the emergency arrest of suspects... Therefore, right from the time a crime report arises, the prosecutor has a firm grasp of the content of the case and the direction of handling; at the same time, creating initiative in the next stage of the prosecution process, contributing significantly to the fight against injustice, mistakes, and missed crimes.

The People's Procuracy at two levels has also done a good job of advising local authorities on the responsibility to report on the situation of receiving and handling crime reports and denunciations to the People's Procuracy. At the same time, the role of mass organizations in mobilizing and encouraging people of all walks of life to actively participate in detecting, reflecting, providing information, reporting, denouncing crimes and violations of the law, helping authorities promptly detect, prevent and handle crimes and violations of the law. From the beginning of October 2024 to now, the People's Procuracy at two levels has received 1,339 crime reports and denunciations, of which 1,118 have been resolved; issued 12 recommendations requesting the investigation agency to remedy violations and recommendations requesting relevant agencies, organizations and individuals to remedy loopholes and shortcomings in management activities.

The People's Procuracy at two levels in the province has a plan to coordinate with the investigation agency and relevant agencies to grasp and closely supervise the timely reception and handling of denunciations, reports of crimes and recommendations for prosecution, to prevent the omission of criminals and criminals, and to avoid wrongful conviction of innocent people. At the same time, monitor and urge the investigation agency to receive and implement the recommendations of the Procuracy regarding violations of the law, to ensure that the issued recommendations must be received, corrected, and violations must be overcome promptly, in accordance with the provisions of the law, and violations that have been repeated many times must be limited. At the same time, assign prosecutors to closely follow the progress and propose specific verification contents of issues that need to be collected and verified, avoiding formalities.
