PSG's backstage was in turmoil again when Mbappe reacted strongly because the team used his image in a promotional video to sell tickets for the 2023/24 season. Throughout the 1 minute and 15 second video, Mbappe was the main character and the rest of the Paris team's players only appeared briefly.
Mbappe did not hesitate to criticize PSG on social media for using his image in the advertising clip.
Immediately after the video was published, Mbappe immediately criticized the club on his personal page: "I was not informed about the content of the interview with the interlocutor. I do not agree with this posted video. That is why I always fight for personal image rights. PSG is a big club, a big family. That is definitely not Kylian Saint-Germain".
It is worth noting that many people believe that Mbappe's public criticism of PSG on social media (instead of reflecting internally) has seriously damaged the image of the Parisian team. Bayern Munich once fined goalkeeper Manuel Neuer 1.5 million euros (equivalent to one month's salary) for publicly criticizing the club after firing goalkeeper coach Toni Tapalovic.

However, PSG did not take strong action against Mbappe. No punishment was given. Not only that, PSG admitted to the French striker. They said that the media department had rushed to post the video without consulting the club.
This shows that Mbappe's power at PSG is very great. Recently, coach Christophe Galtier gave the 1998-born star the vice-captaincy, despite Presnel Kimpembe's dissatisfaction. Furthermore, PSG's head coach had to change the tactical scheme after Mbappe expressed his dissatisfaction.
With Real Madrid keeping an eye on him, PSG has been trying to find ways to "tie down" Mbappe. In addition to the huge salary, the French striker is also said to have received a lot of hidden power at the Paris club. Many fans mocked Mbappe, calling him the "president" of PSG.
