As one of the child models participating in the event honoring Vietnamese ao dai held at Tran Bien Temple of Literature (Dong Nai), Cherry Pham attracted attention with her confident and professional demeanor.
Child models perform for designers Viet Hung and Le Huu Nhan. The outfits are designed to suit the age and active innocence of the child models as well as to be in harmony with the spirit of the collection.
Ms. Hang Nguyen - Cherry Pham's biological mother said that when she participated in the Ao Dai event, she really enjoyed it. After changing clothes, she happily interacted with other models very confidently without any hesitation.
“Cherry has had a passion for the stage and a good sense of music since she was little, so it didn’t take her long to get used to performing on different stages. She has performed a lot but has never actually attended any catwalk training classes. She only needs to wear designer clothes, combined with music and stage lighting to be able to walk confidently. Innocence is the most important thing, so she is not forced to learn or act like professional models,” Cherry Pham’s mother shared.
Cherry Pham is a familiar child model who has participated in many fashion events. She has been exposed to the runway since she was just over 1 year old and soon showed her talent for performing.
According to the baby's mother, since she was 18 months old, she has followed her mother to major fashion events such as Vietnam International Fashion Week 2023. Seeing the models performing, Cherry Pham was excited. When she tried walking on the runway, she was not only not afraid but also showed confidence that surprised her mother. Since then, Ms. Hang Nguyen has let her child try her hand at fashion shows.
In addition, Cherry Pham is also "addicted" to makeup and can sit still to watch the ladies and gentlemen beautify themselves. However, Ms. Hang Nguyen said that she has no plans for her child to pursue a professional modeling career.
“I have not yet oriented my child towards a professional modelling career, I simply want him to have a healthy playground and be able to wear his favourite clothes. What I want most is for him to be more confident when exposed to this playground from a young age, helping him develop himself in the future," said Ms. Hang Nguyen.
Because Cherry Pham is still young, her mother still prioritizes natural play and her health. Going to fashion shows is just a playground to help her experience and gain more knowledge about life.
“I do not put pressure on my child to participate in fashion shows. In this playground, I let my child participate with the motto of experience so that he can learn faster and be more confident. When he steps on stage, he can perform as he pleases with the innocence of his age. When he has free time, I also let him participate in talent activities, not just modeling, based on ensuring fun and health," Ms. Hang Nguyen shared more.
