Miss Vietnam Student Contestant hopes to become national cultural ambassador

On the morning of March 30 in Hanoi, the Vietnam Miss University 2025 contest in the Northern region officially entered the catsing round. Many contestants confidently performed in national costumes in the optional costume competition, fluently "shooting" English to introduce themselves.

The contest is directed by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Student Association, in coordination with the Thanh Giong Knowledge Portal and the Vietnam Student Support and Development Center.

According to the organizers, the Miss Vietnamese Students contest aims to honor the intellectual beauty, talent, confidence and dynamism of Vietnamese female students. The contest not only seeks beauty but also promotes the values ​​of Virtue - Intelligence - Body - Beauty.

Thereby, the program contributes to raising awareness among young people about comprehensive training, encouraging students to actively study, participate in social and charitable activities, help the poor and disadvantaged children, and at the same time arouse love for the homeland and country.

Mr. Hoang Tuan Viet, editor-in-chief of the Thanh Giong Knowledge Portal (Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union), head of the organizing committee, said: The contest is part of the "I love my Fatherland" movement launched by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union, and the "5 Good Students" movement of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Student Association. This is not only a beauty contest but also a journey to find intelligent, brave female students who are ready to contribute to the community.

In search of the beauty of intelligence

At the casting round, contestants go through three main tests: anthropometric measurements, body measurement check to evaluate body shape; performing self-selected costumes, expressing their own style and personality.

In the behavioral round, contestants must demonstrate their intelligence, agility and communication skills through questions from the organizers.

Contestant Pham Thao Nhi confidently chose the traditional costume of the Thai ethnic group. Nhi said that she is from Moc Chau, Son La, her mother is Thai. She is proud and wants to introduce to her friends the unique culture of her ethnic group.

Contestant Pham Quynh Chau Giang - a student at Hanoi Foreign Trade University - confidently showed off her figure in a traditional ao dai. She impressed with her self-introduction in English.

In response to the judges’ questions, Chau Giang said that one of the essential factors for Vietnamese students on the path of integration is the ability to adapt. Students must not only study to equip themselves with knowledge and professional skills, but also be ready to integrate and become global citizens.

At the end of the three-region casting round, the jury selected 40 excellent candidates to enter the national semi-finals.

These are typical faces, fully converging the qualities that the contest aims for: intelligence, talent, and compassion. The next rounds promise to bring exciting competitions, where intellectual beauty shines.
