Ly Hai starts the movie 'Flip Side 8'

Director Ly Hai launched "Flip Side 8", attracting more than 5,000 auditions, after part seven earned more than 480 billion VND in revenue.

According to the director, during the two days of casting in Ho Chi Minh City (October 13-14), the number of participants doubled to seven times. Initially, he only planned to cast actors in one day, but then had to extend it, ending at 1 a.m. the next day. Some colleagues assisted him in casting, such as director Quoc Thuan, actors Tiet Cuong, Trung Dung, and Ngoc Tuong.

Many famous faces come to seek opportunities in Lat mat 8 , such as child actors Gia Khiem, Le Huynh Bao Ngoc, TikToker Le Tuan Khang. The director said some people impressed him with their natural, rustic acting. Even though they did not meet the criteria for the main role, he invited them to play some suitable roles. Previously, in the online audition round (September 27 - October 7), many acting videos of the contestants attracted attention. The hashtag of the film's name reached more than 300 million views on the TikTok platform.

The film will start shooting in December in Phan Thiet (Binh Thuan), Phan Rang - Thap Cham (Ninh Thuan). Ly Hai plans to release the film on April 30 next year, like the release date of the previous parts.

Flip Side 8 following the success of Flip Side 7: A Wish - the most successful work of Ly Hai's career. Released at the end of April, the film created a fever, conquered revenue milestones.
