Regarding the decision to temporarily suspend Mr. Nguyen Dai Cuong from his position as Director of Ha Long City Electricity, a representative of Quang Ninh Electricity Company (PC Quang Ninh) said that Mr. Cuong had directed the response and recovery work after the storm, which had not been effective as required by the Northern Power Corporation and Quang Ninh Electricity Company.
This has greatly affected the restoration of power supply to customers in Ha Long City. Therefore, the company has decided to assign Mr. Dang Thanh, Deputy Director of Quang Ninh Electricity Company, to concurrently hold the position of Director of Ha Long City Electricity Company, replacing Mr. Nguyen Dai Cuong.
According to the representative of PC Quang Ninh, this is to speed up the progress of repairing the power grid in the city as well as unify the direction throughout from the company to the local power company and to the power supply to customers with low-voltage lines.
Previously, Quang Ninh Electricity Company decided to temporarily suspend Mr. Nguyen Dai Cuong from the position of Director of Ha Long City Electricity Company from 6:00 p.m. on September 9 until a replacement decision is made.

However, Mr. Nguyen Dai Cuong still had to be present at Ha Long City Electricity to serve the restoration of the power grid after storm No. 3 and the production and business activities of the electricity company.
As of 2:00 p.m. on September 10, Quang Ninh has restored 30% of the incident load in the whole province, basically restoring power supply to important loads such as hospitals, communications, clean water supply, etc. and restoring 90% of the load from coal mines.
For priority loads in Ha Long City, Quang Ninh Power Company said it will try to restore power on September 10. The remaining power lines in the city, due to many broken poles, will strive to be repaired in the next few days and restore power supply to customers. However, by the evening of September 10, many places in Ha Long City still had no power.
According to the Northern Power Corporation, by the morning of September 11, the unit had restored operation of 1,376/1,604 medium-voltage lines affected by the storm. At the same time, power supply was restored to 4.8 million customers out of a total of more than 5.9 million customers affected by storm Yagi.
Due to rising river water, floods exceeding the 65-year record have caused flooding in 15 provinces including Yen Bai, Bac Giang, Lang Son, Phu Tho, Thai Nguyen, Cao Bang, Lao Cai, Nam Dinh, Tuyen Quang, Bac Ninh, Bac Kan, Ha Giang, Ha Nam, Ninh Binh and Vinh Phuc, causing many customers to have their power supply interrupted.
