On the evening of June 3, at 2/4 Square, the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province held the opening ceremony of the 10th Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa Sea Festival, with the theme "Khanh Hoa - Aspiration for Development". Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang, representatives of central ministries, branches, provinces and cities, and tens of thousands of people and tourists from home and abroad attended the opening ceremony.

At the opening ceremony, Mr. Dinh Van Thieu, Vice Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Organizing Committee emphasized: Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa Sea Festival is organized by Khanh Hoa province every two years with many cultural activities and festivals reflecting traditional and contemporary cultural values to preserve and promote the cultural quintessence of the nation in general and Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa in particular. This is also one of the important events to celebrate the 370th anniversary of the establishment and development of Khanh Hoa province (1653-2023).

Taking place from June 3-6, the 10th Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa Sea Festival includes more than 70 activities, special art programs, modern art light programs with performances by 1,653 drones (unmanned aerial vehicles). The festival program shows pride in the homeland's sea and islands, praises the richness of the sea, and demonstrates the vitality, breath, and characteristics of the land of "agarwood and bird's nest".

On the other hand, the blending of traditional cultural colors of the nation with contemporary cultural colors creates an atmosphere of solidarity, expressing the respect and hospitality of local people towards domestic and international tourists and friends, contributing to the successful implementation of the Action Program of Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee on implementing Resolution No. 09-NQ/TW dated January 28, 2022 of the Politburo on building and developing Khanh Hoa province to 2030, with a vision to 2045.

Through activities and events in the 2023 Sea Festival Program, Khanh Hoa province wants to introduce to the people and tourists the image of a safe, peaceful, hospitable destination, a dynamic land, actively developing and integrating with the traditional cultural identity values of Khanh Hoa homeland.

The opening program of the 2023 Sea Festival "Khanh Hoa's Aspiration to Shine" includes 3 parts: Part 1: Shining Night with light performances, the grand musical scene of Khanh Hoa singing waves; Part 2: Love of the Sea and Part 3: Sea - potential and development.
The opening ceremony impressed with a grand and vibrant art performance program through performances such as: Vietnamese Spirit, Love Song of the Sea, Dawn on the Ocean - Nha Trang, the City I Love, Big Festival, Golden Sunshine, Blue Sea and You, Radiant East - With the Summer Sea...

The highlight of the opening program was the artistic light show using 1,653 drones. During the 15-minute period, many typical images of Khanh Hoa such as: Ponagar Tower, Dien Khanh ancient citadel, Mui Doi - Hon Dau, Tram Huong Tower, Nha Trang beach, swallows... were vividly and colorfully displayed.

Previously, from late May to early June, many activities and events in response to the 2023 Sea Festival were organized by units along Nha Trang beach area, attracting thousands of people and tourists to participate.
