Ha Tinh Social Insurance announces to stop printing paper health insurance cards

Ha Tinh Provincial Social Insurance has just announced that it will stop printing paper health insurance cards from June 1, 2025 in the whole province.

Accordingly, from June 1, 2025, Ha Tinh Social Insurance will stop printing paper health insurance cards. Participants will use the image of the health insurance card on the digital social insurance application (VssID) or the electronic identification application (VneID), and a citizen identification card with a chip to go to health insurance examination and treatment instead of a paper health insurance card. The provincial Social Insurance will only issue new paper health insurance cards for cases where VssID, VneID cannot be installed and there is no citizen identification card with a chip.

For cases of requesting re-issuance or replacement of cards, social insurance officers will directly guide participants to install the VssID and VneID applications. At the same time, they are responsible for guiding participants to use the image of the health insurance card on the social insurance digital application, VNeID and the chip-embedded CCCD to go for medical examination and treatment instead of the paper health insurance card./.
