200 paintings, graphics, and sculptures about the Vietnamese armed forces created by 193 painters and sculptors during the period 2019 - 2024 were introduced to the public at the Vietnam Military History Museum on the morning of November 15.
Towards the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army; 35 years of National Defense Day, the Vietnam Military History Museum has just held the opening ceremony of the National Fine Arts Exhibition on the theme of Armed Forces - Revolutionary War (2019 - 2024).
The event introduces to the public 200 representative paintings, graphics, and sculptures by 193 painters and sculptors.
The works reflect the tradition of fighting to defend the country through two resistance wars against French colonialism and American imperialism of the Vietnamese people; praise the spirit of patriotism, readiness to fight and sacrifice to protect the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Fatherland; highlight the image of Uncle Ho's soldiers in the cause of building and defending the socialist Fatherland of Vietnam; the image of today's soldiers in building a revolutionary, disciplined, elite, and gradually modernized army; Study and follow Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style.
Previously, the Organizing Committee received 644 works from 407 authors across the province and city (an increase of 150 works compared to the period 2014 - 2019). The works introduced at the exhibition will be evaluated, selected, and proposed for consideration by the Council for the Fine Arts Award on the theme of Armed Forces - Revolutionary War for 5 years (2021 - 2025) of the Ministry of National Defense for consideration of literary, artistic, and press awards on this theme.
