On the afternoon of August 23, in Phu Quoc City (Kien Giang Province), Brigade 127, Naval Region 5 Command held the closing ceremony of the exemplary regular ship competition and the 2024 ship training competition. Colonel Trinh Xuan Tung, Commander of the Region attended and directed.

The competition and sports festival took place from August 20 to 23 with the participation of combat ships, transport ships, and support ships of Squadron 511 and Squadron 512.

The exemplary regular ship competition includes 4 contents: Regularity in staff work; regularity in party work, political work; regularity in logistics work; regularity in technical work.
The ship training competition includes 7 contents: Staff work; Party work, political work; logistics work; technical work; ship tactics; specialized work; regulations, and sports.
According to the Organizing Committee, the competition and sports festival took place in unfavorable weather conditions, but the units proactively overcame difficulties and made good preparations, especially in terms of human resources and technical equipment.

During the competition and sports, officers and soldiers of the ships strictly followed the regulations, were proficient in their profession, had solid expertise, were calm and confident in performing the contents well, and ensured absolute safety.
The competition and sports event aims to evaluate the results of the breakthrough training "Basic, mastery, in-depth in exploiting and using weapons, technical equipment, improving the quality of officer training"; the results of implementing the criteria for building "Regular, exemplary ships" of the units and the comprehensive level of officers and soldiers on board to meet the requirements of assigned tasks...
At the end of the competition and sports festival, the Organizing Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 11 groups and 13 individuals with good achievements.
