Nghe An Provincial Military Command organizes the Emulation Congress for Victory in the period 2024-2029

On the morning of July 2, the Nghe An Provincial Armed Forces solemnly held the Emulation Congress for the period of 2019 - 2024 to summarize, draw out the strengths and weaknesses and lessons learned in leadership, direction, organization and implementation of emulation and reward work and the Emulation Movement for Victory in the Provincial Armed Forces; set out directions, goals, tasks and measures to continue innovating emulation and reward work, promoting the Emulation Movement for Victory in the period of 2024 - 2029 and the following years; at the same time, honor and reward typical and advanced collectives and individuals in the past 5 years.

Attending the Congress were Lieutenant General Tran Vo Dung, Political Commissar of Military Region 4. On the side of Nghe An province, there were comrades: Thai Thanh Quy, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, Secretary of the Provincial Military Party Committee; Nguyen Duc Trung - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; comrades in the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council, leaders of the Provincial People's Committee and departments and branches.

Over the past 5 years, the Emulation Movement for Victory of the Provincial Armed Forces has developed more and more deeply and firmly. The movement has closely followed the political tasks of each agency and unit, associated with promoting "Studying and following the ideology, morality and style of Ho Chi Minh". The emulation movement has contributed to building cadres and soldiers of the provincial armed forces with strong political will, ready to receive and complete all tasks well. Through the Emulation Movement for Victory, the provincial armed forces have performed well the function of advising Party committees and authorities at all levels on local defense and military tasks; promoting the core role in building a national defense posture associated with a solid people's security posture.

At the same time, the armed forces have always taken the lead in coordinating the implementation of tasks to ensure social security, prevent natural disasters and epidemics; thereby, deepening the close relationship between the army and the people. From the emulation movement, many typical and advanced collectives and individuals have emerged, contributing to beautifying the tradition and qualities of "Uncle Ho's soldiers" in the heroic Soviet homeland in the new era; building a comprehensively strong provincial armed force, "Exemplary and typical".

Comrade Nguyen Duc Trung - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee delivered the opening speech at the Emulation Congress of Nghe An Provincial Armed Forces for the period 2019 - 2024.

In his opening speech, comrade Nguyen Duc Trung - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghe An province affirmed: This emulation congress of Nghe An province's armed forces is of great significance, an opportunity to summarize and evaluate the results achieved by the Emulation Movement over the past 5 years.

At the same time, the congress determined the direction, goals and measures to carry out the Emulation Movement for Victory of the provincial armed forces in the period of 2024 - 2029; honor, commend, reward and promote typical advanced collectives and individuals selected from agencies, units and localities, in order to arouse and encourage the strength of the great national unity bloc, promote the spirit of self-reliance, self-reliance, tradition of love for the homeland and country of cadres, soldiers and people of all ethnic groups in the province to strive to excellently complete assigned tasks.

Besides, the congress is an important milestone, affirming the new development of the patriotic emulation movement of the province; demonstrating the determination of the cadres and soldiers of the provincial armed forces, always upholding the spirit of patriotism, the spirit of revolutionary attack, proactively overcoming difficulties, steadily moving forward to achieve many new achievements, contributing to building the province's armed forces increasingly strong; striving to build the province's armed forces to achieve the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces in the renovation period.

In the 2019-2024 period, 39 collectives and 34 individuals have excellently completed their tasks and were proposed to the Military Region 4 Command, the Provincial People's Committee, and the Provincial Military Command to award "Excellent Emulation Flags", Certificates of Merit, and Certificates of Merit. Of which, 2 collectives were proposed to the Military Region 4 Command to award Excellent Emulation Flags; 1 collective and 2 individuals were proposed to the Military Region 4 Command to award Certificates of Merit. On this occasion, 15 collectives and 15 individuals were awarded Certificates of Merit by the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee. 21 collectives and 17 individuals were awarded Certificates of Merit by the Provincial Military Command.

In the spirit of solidarity, creativity and determination to win, the Congress listened to 6 opinions and reports of typical advanced models from delegates who are excellent representatives in the beautiful flower garden of the Emulation Movement to Win the Provincial Armed Forces. Thereby, it supplemented and enlivened the Report presented to the Congress, at the same time proposed some experiences and good practices to apply in practice.

At the Congress, Lieutenant General Tran Vo Dung, Political Commissar of Military Region 4 Command, gave a speech directing and orienting important tasks; encouraging and motivating officers and soldiers of the Provincial Armed Forces in the Emulation Movement for Victory in the coming time.

Comrade Thai Thanh Quy - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Military Party Committee delivered the concluding speech and closed the congress.

In order for the Emulation movement to develop effectively, go into depth, and practically concretize the Resolution Letter of the Congress, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Thai Thanh Quy, in his closing speech at the Congress, requested the provincial armed forces to pay attention to continuing to thoroughly grasp President Ho Chi Minh's Call for "Patriotic Emulation"; strengthen the leadership and direction of Party committees, political commissars, political officers, and commanders for the patriotic emulation movement in general and the Emulation Movement to Win in particular; promote the role and responsibility of cadres, party members, union members, and association members in implementing emulation goals and targets.

At the same time, regularly innovate the content and form of emulation, orienting emulation towards the quality implementation of key tasks. Promote the activities of "repaying gratitude"; help people develop the economy, reduce poverty sustainably, build civilized urban areas, improve new rural areas, prevent and overcome the consequences of natural disasters, search and rescue.

Focus on well implementing the task of "Firmly ensuring national defense and security, especially in border areas, airspace, seas and islands of the Fatherland; improving the effectiveness of foreign affairs activities" as determined in Resolution No. 39 of the Politburo on building and developing Nghe An province to 2030, with a vision to 2045.
