On the evening of March 28, Dien Ban town solemnly held a ceremony to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the homeland (March 29, 1975 - March 29, 2025), the 95th anniversary of the founding of Dien Ban Party Committee (April 5, 1930 - April 5, 2025), and the 10th anniversary of the founding of Dien Ban town (2015-2025).
Attending the event were Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Van Dung, comrades in the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, People's Armed Forces Heroes, military and police generals, former provincial leaders and a large number of people of the Town.
In gratitude for the great contributions of previous generations, at the ceremony, Dien Ban City Party Committee presented fresh bouquets of flowers to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers and Heroes of the People's Armed Forces living in the area.
The speech at the ceremony, presented by Comrade Phan Minh Dung - Secretary of Dien Ban Town Party Committee, reviewed the heroic history of 95 years of formation and development of Dien Ban Party Committee. Accordingly, on April 5, 1930, the Dien Ban District Communist Party Cell was established. Entering the resistance war against the US to save the country. The battle of Dien Ngoc Heroes in April 1962 was a typical proof, a shining feat of revolutionary heroism. The district armed forces fought more and more, became stronger and more mature, strongly promoting the strength of people's war to create the general offensive and uprising in the spring of 1975, liberating Dien Ban on March 29, contributing to the complete liberation of the South and national reunification.
In recognition of Dien Ban's great contributions in the two resistance wars, on October 20, 1976, Dien Ban was awarded the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces by the State. Dien Ban has 8,920 martyrs, over 7,240 wounded and sick soldiers, 4,159 revolutionaries imprisoned by the enemy, 4,521 people participating in the resistance war to liberate the nation, protect the Fatherland and perform international duties, more than 9,000 people with revolutionary contributions. Dien Ban has 82 individuals, 6 groups, 19/20 communes and wards awarded the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces by the State, 3,130 mothers were posthumously awarded the noble title of Heroic Vietnamese Mother by the State. That is the great pride of the Party Committee and people of Dien Ban.
After the country's reunification, Dien Ban embarked on the task of economic recovery and development and achieved many outstanding achievements. By the end of 2024, the total production value reached more than 27,060 billion VND, the economic structure and labor structure shifted strongly to industry and services, the average income per capita reached 71.3 million VND/year... The focus on urban and new rural infrastructure has created a breakthrough in services and industry, improving all aspects of people's lives, building Dien Ban homeland to be more and more civilized and beautiful.
Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Van Dung emphasized: In 2010, Dien Ban became an industrial district and Dien Nam - Dien Ngoc Industrial Park is one of the most successful industrial parks in the province. In particular, in 2015, Dien Ban district was recognized as a town, received the Second Class Independence Medal, and at the end of 2015, the town was recognized by the Government as meeting the New Rural standards. Since 2017, Dien Ban town has been one of the four localities in Quang Nam province to balance its budget and partially regulate the budget of the higher level. Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Van Dung requested Dien Ban to continue to promote the cultural tradition and heroic revolutionary tradition of the homeland, unite, focus on consolidating and improving the quality of leadership, management and operation of the entire political system; improve the leadership capacity and fighting strength of grassroots party organizations, the quality of cadres and party members; Effectiveness and efficiency in management and operation of authorities at all levels associated with the implementation of organization and streamlining. Focus on planning work, prioritize breakthrough and key tasks; build urban areas and synchronous infrastructure; develop high-quality human resources; promote administrative reform, digital transformation associated with startups and innovation. Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Van Dung also requested Dien Ban town to continue to take care of the comprehensive development of education, training, and health care for people, further raise people's awareness and responsibility in implementing a civilized lifestyle, focusing on the work of preserving, embellishing, exploiting, and effectively promoting the value of historical and cultural relics in the area.
