To support carbon-conscious business customers on their sustainability journey, Lenovo recently introduced a Reduced Carbon Transport Service.
Lenovo launches carbon-neutral shipping service
This is a dedicated service that gives businesses the option to reduce the carbon footprint of their IT equipment when it is transported by air. Through this service, customers can purchase Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) credits and contribute to the emissions reduction benefits of their IT equipment purchases.
A cleaner alternative to conventional jet fuel, SAF has the potential to reduce CO2 emissions in air transport and enable organisations to realise their scope 3 emissions reduction targets. Lenovo’s carbon neutral transport service provides customers with a carbon reduction confirmation template to help them report their scope 3 targets, increasing transparency throughout the process.
“At Lenovo, we are committed to more than just our own Net-Zero vision,” said Claudia Contreras, Lenovo’s Global Sustainability Services Executive Director. “Net-Zero is achieved through a variety of sustainability choices. We are excited to be a trusted business partner and solution provider to help our customers achieve both digital transformation and sustainability success.”
Enterprise customers across North America, Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia Pacific can now choose a carbon -neutral Shipping Service when purchasing devices. As part of its service-based business transformation, Lenovo continues to innovate with innovative solutions that help customers achieve their sustainability goals.
