Da Nang International Fireworks Festival 2024 is expected to take place from early June

DNO - On January 4, a representative of Sun Group said that in 2024, the group will continue to accompany the People's Committee of Da Nang City in organizing the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival - DIFF 2024 as well as a series of side events.

The venue for DIFF 2024 is the Han River port area (shooting ground) and the sidewalk area of Tran Hung Dao street (performing arts).

DIFF 2024 is expected to have 8 participating teams, including 7 international teams: France, Italy, USA, Germany, Poland, China, Finland and Da Nang team representing Vietnam. Thus, DIFF 2024 is expected to have 3 new teams participating: USA, Germany, China.

DIFF 2024 will maintain the same program as last year, with 5 competition nights, including 4 qualifying rounds and one final night. The opening night is scheduled to take place on June 8, with fireworks nights taking place every Saturday night in the following weeks (with a week off before the final night). The final night of DIFF 2024 is expected to take place on July 13.

Teams will have 20 minutes to perform fireworks displays according to the theme of each night agreed upon by the organizers. The general theme of DIFF 2024 is still in the selection process, but aims at the message of a peaceful, fair, harmonious and humane society.

It is known that the return of DIFF 2023 has created a boost for Da Nang tourism to recover spectacularly after Covid-19, with growth figures exceeding expectations.

2024 is the 12th year that DIFF is held in Da Nang. The first Da Nang International Fireworks Competition (DIFC) was held in 2008. In 2017, the city changed its name from the competition to the International Fireworks Festival (DIFF) with the organization budget being socialized and sponsored and organized by Sun Group Corporation. Throughout that journey, DIFF has become a highlight event, making the Han River city the center of the festival every summer.
