Tran Xuan Giap Thin Temple Seal Opening Festival 2024

On February 20 (January 11), at the Tran Temple - Thap Pagoda historical and cultural relic site, Loc Vuong ward (Nam Dinh city), the Ngoc Lo palanquin procession (carrying the incense of King Tran Nhan Tong) from Thap Pagoda to Thien Truong Temple took place. This is the opening ceremony for the Tran Temple Spring Seal Opening Festival Giap Thin 2024.

This spiritual festival has long become a traditional cultural feature of the Vietnamese people, especially during the spring, when many temple festivals open their doors to welcome visitors from all over.

It would be a mistake to talk about spiritual festivals without mentioning Tran Temple in Nam Dinh City, a place considered a land of "spiritual people", rich in cultural traditions with many festivals associated with historical relics from thousands of years ago.

According to historical and cultural researchers, the Tran Temple's opening ceremony has great humanistic significance, praying for world peace and prosperity.

The Tran Dynasty Seal is engraved with the words "Tran Dynasty Classics" and "Tich Phuc Vo Cuong". The essence of the four words "Tich Phuc Vo Cuong" on the seal is that the Tran Dynasty bestowed blessings on its descendants, taught its descendants, and all families to know how to preserve moral qualities, accumulate blessings, and the more blessings, the more lasting the blessings.

The Tran Temple Opening Seal Festival in Nam Dinh is held in early spring every year to preserve and promote cultural values, educate the tradition of patriotism against foreign invaders, commemorate the merits of our ancestors, and remember the great contributions of the Tran Dynasty, which built the country, opened rivers, reclaimed the sea and expanded the territory with the bright Dong A spirit, and defeated the Yuan-Mongol invaders three times.

The Tran Temple Seal Opening Festival in Nam Dinh, Spring of Giap Thin 2024, will take place from February 20-25, with many unique traditional cultural activities. The organizers plan to distribute seals to visitors from 5am on February 24.
