On April 16, Van Minh Company Limited announced that since April 11, Van Minh bus company has officially opened ticket sales for routes from Hanoi to Nghe An, Ha Tinh, and Da Nang. According to the bus company, the demand for passengers during the April 30 - May 1 holiday this year is high, and it is expected that in about 10 days, Van Minh bus company will open ticket sales for about 5-6 additional trips per day. For the Hanoi - Son La and Hanoi - Dien Bien routes, a representative of Hai Van bus company said that most of the tickets to Dien Bien have been sold out. The Son La route still has many tickets for people and tourists to choose from now until the holiday. On this occasion, the bus company will also add more trips to serve passenger demand.

Many bus companies have planned to increase trips to serve people traveling during the April 30 and May 1 holidays.

A survey on the Hai Van bus company's website shows that on April 29, all trips departing from My Dinh bus station to Dien Bien from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. were fully booked. On April 30, there were only a few trips with available seats between 6:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., the 7:45 p.m. trip had 11 available seats while the 8:30 p.m. trip had only 1 available seat. Ticket prices for this route range from 410,000 to 650,000 VND/bed cabin, depending on the type of vehicle. From May 1 onwards, there are still many available tickets in the time slots.

Unlike the above routes, on the Hanoi - Lao Cai route, some bus companies such as Sao Viet, G8 Sapa Open Tour, Inter bus Lines have opened ticket sales but the number of customers booking is lower. Many bus companies have launched "ticket discount" programs for customers.

Specifically, from now until July 31, the long-standing Sao Viet bus company is also implementing the program "Welcome Summer - Celebrate 50 years of great Spring victory", reducing ticket prices by 10% for customers, applied to all types of vehicles on the route. Specifically, for sleeper buses from Hanoi to Sa Pa, the price will be 280,000 VND/ticket, customers booking round-trip tickets will receive an additional discount of 40,000 VND. For luxury limousine cabins, the single cabin type from Hanoi to Lao Cai costs 310,000 VND/ticket, Hanoi to Sa Pa costs 380,000 VND/ticket; double cabin type from Hanoi to Lao Cai costs 560,000 VND/ticket, Hanoi to Sa Pa costs 650,000 VND/ticket. The bus company offers an additional discount of 50,000 VND/ticket for customers booking round-trip limousine cabin from Hanoi - Sa Pa.

Hanoi adds more than 600 passenger buses to serve the April 30 holiday

At this bus station, the routes are mainly short distances, so passengers travel mainly during the day, increasing mainly on routes from Hanoi to Nam Dinh, Thai Binh, Ninh Binh, Thanh Hoa.

At Gia Lam bus station, the highest number of passengers during peak days is about 8,000 passengers/day, an increase of about 300% compared to normal days, the expected number of buses is 400 buses/day, mainly concentrated on routes to Hai Phong and Quang Ninh. For transport business units, the Department directs local Departments of Transport to thoroughly instruct businesses to arrange sufficient number of vehicles, drivers, and service staff.
