In his opening speech, journalist Lam Hieu Dung affirmed : "To live green, we do not need to start with big things. Sometimes it is just a cloth bag instead of a plastic bag when going to the market; a well-groomed tree in the corner of the classroom or balcony; an act of turning off unnecessary electrical systems before leaving the house or leaving the office after work; a gentle reminder so that no one litters in public places. Those small things, each individual aware of good living behavior, together with famous people spreading and resonating, will become a conscious community, creating big waves to join hands to build a green life."

As a companion for 5 seasons of Living Beautifully , General Director of Ton Dong A Joint Stock Company Ho Song Ngoc shared: " Building a green life together - the theme of the discussion is also the operating principle of Ton Dong A since its inception. For a long time, the Living Beautifully contest has spread to the community humane stories, noble gestures and examples, lessons about the will to live resiliently, attracting the participation of many authors and the attention of many readers".

" Building a green life together is clearly not just about slogans or long-term plans, but must be realized through specific, close and quick actions. First, we can start with simple changes in each family, school and organization, and then spread widely to the community. Small actions such as sorting trash, planting trees, and using environmentally friendly products can all create positive impacts if everyone is united," Ms. Che Ngoc Bao Tran further emphasized.

KINDNESS IS NOT FAR AWAY

Journalist Lam Hieu Dung said: "Kindness, sometimes we often think of it as something far away. But perhaps, one of the most beautiful manifestations of kindness today is the act of preserving nature, so that our descendants can live in a clean atmosphere and silently be grateful to those who came before. Choosing to live green is choosing to live kindly. Kind to the land, to the water, to the air, and also kind to ourselves, to our health and to the future."

Writer Phan Hon Nhien recounted a story 15 years ago when she went abroad for an exchange. On that occasion, she gave a natural silk scarf to a foreign colleague. Although the gift was small, this colleague really appreciated it because the product did not use fossil energy to create it. "She has a mobile life. Her family has to make a living on a boat, so she saves every penny of drinking water. Every day, her mother sets a rule for how many minutes she can shower, and when she gets off the boat, she must turn off the lights immediately. She lives a minimalist life and always limits the use of fossil energy, so from that writer's example, I brought it back to apply to my own family," writer Phan Hon Nhien said.

"If you simply think of yourself as a tree, a garden, a glass of water or a big river and treat yourself the same way you treat nature, everyone will... easily do it and always raise awareness to protect the world they live in," the author of Lying on the Hillside confided.

Before becoming Miss Environment, beauty Nguyen Thanh Ha knew how to choose to live kindly towards the environment since childhood. "To live green, in my opinion, you must equip yourself with green knowledge to gradually form green habits. If everyone joins hands, the country will become greener and more beautiful," she said. Talking about Generation Z, the beauty queen commented: "Today's youth are very dynamic and have the opportunity to access many forms of environmental art. Therefore, we often organize many environmental painting competitions like small game shows for everyone to compete, creating a playground for your green projects."

Director of NQH English System Luong Huy Khang brought up a seemingly unrelated story between green living and English skills. "Just take a look around the shopping malls recently and you will see that English is always present in daily life: from instructions on waste sorting bins at the source to warnings on packaging products. Not to mention, if you are good at foreign languages, you can share green knowledge on international networks, easily spreading the information about "building a green life" that you want to aim for...".

"The golden girl in the garbage collection village" Nguyen Ngoc Anh will always remember the trip to Vung Tau where she met children who built many castles out of... very large garbage. "At that time, my throat almost choked. I suddenly thought: If everyone thinks that living beautifully is too big, who will dare to do it and if they don't do it now, when will they do it, while not knowing how long they will live?" Thinking is doing, now Anh not only launched a garbage collection campaign, with 50,000 people joining her in picking up garbage every day, but the petite girl also organized and mobilized many people to plant more trees, bringing shade to the living space.

Coming to the discussion "Building a Green Life Together" , young writer Cao Viet Quynh, famous for his sci-fi and fantasy works, realized: "The heroes in everyday life are not like my stories, having to defeat superheroes or terrible monsters, but are just ordinary people, even small people like Ms. Anh, but make everyone admire. Fortunately, in my works, I often describe nature: dense forests, high mountains, vast seas, snow-covered deserts to remind that out there are many places where nature is threatened, and we need to take responsibility to protect it together".

Where heart, light and emotion meet

The Beautiful Life contest has a Photo category, which I think is very valuable, reflecting people's passion for nature and the environment - where light, heart and writing meet, there will be many good works. The organizers also expanded the participation of foreigners with high prize values, making the contest attractive to many audiences.

Taking photos of compassion, green living…, don’t worry about finding a great and noble place, just observe in daily life. It could be behind the hospital door, school, the eyes of a mother looking at her child overcoming difficulties together… A photo that is easy to win an award is a work that combines many advantages: good content, beautiful technical form, ornate, especially has an effect on society, aiming to heal the human soul.
