This morning (February 3), leaders of the Ministry of Transport held an incense offering ceremony to President Ho Chi Minh on the occasion of the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 - February 3, 2025).
At the memorial room of President Ho Chi Minh, Minister of Transport Tran Hong Minh and members of the Party Executive Committee, Party Committee, leaders of the National Traffic Safety Committee, Vietnam Transport Trade Union, Youth Union and leaders of the advisory agencies of the Ministry of Transport, on behalf of tens of thousands of cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers in the transport sector, offered incense to President Ho Chi Minh and commemorated and expressed gratitude to the heroes and martyrs who sacrificed for the independence, freedom, sovereignty, unity and territorial integrity of the Fatherland, for socialism and for noble international obligations.

Reading a speech reporting achievements to President Ho Chi Minh, Deputy Minister of Transport Le Anh Tuan said that the transport sector has gone through nearly 80 years of construction, development and growth since August 28, 1945, when President Ho Chi Minh signed the Decree establishing the Ministry of Transport and Public Works.
Since that historic moment, the transport sector has embarked on a difficult but also very proud journey, always wholeheartedly implementing the Party's policies and guidelines and Uncle Ho's teachings, striving and making important contributions to the cause of national liberation, building and defending the Fatherland.
"The fate of the industry is always closely linked to the fate of the nation through every ups and downs. To achieve the results it has today, the transport industry has always received deep attention from the Party and the State, high consensus from the people, along with the spirit of innovation, creativity, daring to think, daring to do, daring to take responsibility for the common interests of generations of cadres, leaders and workers in the industry," Deputy Minister Tuan emphasized.

According to the Deputy Minister, in 2024, the entire transport sector has carried out its tasks with great will, effort and determination, in the spirit of: "Only discuss action, not retreat".
The Ministry of Transport has started 10 projects, completed and put into operation 8 projects, of which the entire 653km of phase 1 of the North-South expressway project has been completed and connected, contributing significantly to increasing the total length of the national expressway system to more than 2,021km.
At the same time, the Ministry is focusing on speeding up the construction progress to complete phase 2 of the project with a total length of about 723km to connect the North-South expressway in the East, planned from Huu Nghi border gate (Lang Son) to Ca Mau city with a length of 2,063km... contributing to creating a new look for the country, creating connections between regions in the country and internationally.
Transport output and quality of transport services increased; traffic safety and order were implemented synchronously with many solutions; traffic accidents decreased sharply in all 3 criteria and decreased by more than 10%. The results of public investment disbursement completed the set plan and were among the ministries, branches and localities with the highest disbursement rate in the country...
