As a parent, Ms. Tran Ngoc (Hanoi) expressed her joy when the “Financial Playground” was born - a useful and practical program for students. She shared that she has long admired young people abroad for knowing how to manage personal expenses, and even how to invest. However, her two children are still quite confused about how to use money. Typically, at the beginning of the new year, the children often receive a large sum of money as lucky money, but do not know how to use it properly. Currently, most of the children will leave this money to their parents to keep for them and only use it when they need to buy items such as shoes, clothes or books, etc.
Ms. Tran Ngoc expressed her joy at officially having the first online financial education playground in Vietnam. |
Not only in her own children's case, through practical contact, Ms. Ngoc realized that many young people today still lack knowledge about how to manage and spend small amounts of money reasonably, often only for personal interests instead of using them more effectively. Currently, every year, Ms. Ngoc spends her children's lucky money to buy gold with the goal of saving and preserving childhood memories. "I hope this playground will help not only my children but all students to be more excited about learning, flexibly use money, and use money for the right purposes. Because most parents are very worried when giving money to their children," Ms. Ngoc expressed and shared that, in addition to creating a playground for students, the program should pay attention to how to attract students to participate enthusiastically and actively. Because financial information is often dry, if it is transformed into lively forms, it will attract more students. The book “Smart with Money” is a good example, when providing information about financial education conveying very vivid information. Therefore, Ms. Ngoc hopes that this playground will attract children in more diverse forms.
Mr. Tran Dang Hoa, Chairman of FPT IS and Ms. Le Thi Thuy Sen, Editor-in-Chief of Banking Times at the cooperation signing ceremony |
Editor-in-Chief of Banking Times, Ms. Le Thi Thuy Sen, respectfully acknowledges Ms. Tran Ngoc’s sincere sharing from the perspective of a parent. According to her, these are not only everyday confidences but also a responsible message for those who are building the program to create a truly meaningful playground for the young generation.
Financial books or teachings from adults sometimes fail to reach the attention of children. Instead of conveying messages with dry language, if told through vivid examples close to daily life, financial lessons will become closer and more attractive to children. "Program creators need to put themselves in the shoes of students, not in the shoes of adults," Ms. Le Thi Thuy Sen shared.
Together with Banking Times, FPT Corporation will apply modern technology to create an attractive and creative playground, helping students to be interested in accessing financial knowledge. Ms. Sen also expressed her hope that the program will have a strong influence in the community, each lesson will be a solid foundation to help students improve their financial knowledge and skills.
She said that how to convey content that is both attractive, lively, and accessible while still ensuring accuracy is not an easy problem. However, with the dedication of the program creators, when the playground officially launches, it will partly meet the expectations of parents who have equipped themselves with solid financial resources from an early age.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc, Director of VioEdu Online Education System |
Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc, Director of VioEdu Online Education System, expressed her belief that through this playground, VioEdu will bring lessons through short videos, minigames with stories related to life that are close to each age group of students.
Mr. Tran Dang Hoa, Chairman of FPT IS believes that this playground is not only for students but also for parents to receive useful knowledge about financial education. Because up to now, the Vietnamese education program has not had a subject teaching about financial education, so this is also one of the reasons why people have a lack of understanding as well as personal financial risks.
