Promote electricity saving propaganda for each customer group
As a direct electricity trading unit in Cao Bang province, in recent times, Cao Bang Electricity Company (PC Cao Bang) has proactively implemented many solutions to improve electricity saving efficiency. Accordingly, in addition to synchronously applying solutions in operational techniques, PC Cao Bang also mobilizes all resources to promote electricity saving propaganda for each customer group.
Notably, the Company has made efforts to promote Directive No. 20/CT-TTg, dated May 7, 2020 of the Prime Minister on enhancing electricity saving. At the same time, it has proactively coordinated with departments, branches and local authorities to implement many programs to support customers, agencies, businesses and people to participate in the programs "Earth Hour"; "Electricity-saving schools" program, "Electricity-saving family competition" ...
Through these activities, PC Cao Bang has promptly conveyed many measures such as using electricity "at the right time, in the right place, in the right way and for the right needs", especially turning off electrical equipment when not in use... to customers.
Electricity workers strengthen propaganda on electricity saving
Along with that, the Company also coordinated with the Department of Industry and Trade of Cao Bang province to mobilize agencies, offices, and organizations in the province to develop plans for economical and effective electricity use and improve the efficiency of safe and economical electricity use at the workplace; Mobilize business and commercial service establishments such as restaurants, hotels, etc. to pay attention to safe, economical and effective electricity use; Mobilize production establishments and enterprises inside and outside industrial parks to participate in the load adjustment program to contribute to reducing maximum capacity during some peak hours, as well as encourage customers to arrange reasonable production time, avoiding using electricity during peak hours.
In particular, PC Cao Bang also encourages people to replace energy-consuming devices with energy-saving devices... This not only helps limit the overload of the power grid, but also improves the efficiency of management and energy saving at production facilities and businesses.
Proactive energy saving solutions
In Chi Lang district (Lang Son), electricity usage in the district is mainly related to household loads. In order to save electricity effectively, especially in the hot season, Chi Lang Electricity has proactively forecasted the electricity usage situation in the area.
On that basis, Electricity has advised the District People's Committee and coordinated with Party committees and authorities at all levels, specialized departments, to deploy solutions to propagate electricity saving for agencies, units, businesses and people.
Communication on electricity saving for people
Mr. Nguyen Hung Cuong, Deputy Director of Chi Lang Electricity, Chi Lang District, Lang Son Province said: Chi Lang Electricity has implemented a number of solutions on promoting electricity saving such as coordinating with the Department of Economic Infrastructure to establish groups to inspect electricity saving work, integrating with propaganda at district agencies and People's Committees of communes and towns and directly to the people. In addition, coordinating with the District Center for Culture, Sports and Communications to broadcast contents on electricity saving on the public loudspeaker system to each village and commune.
In 2024, the propaganda work on electricity saving has been deployed more widely to agencies, units as well as people. In particular, Electricity has sent propaganda content through zalo groups of villages and hamlets so that people can better understand about saving electricity in their families. For agencies and units, the Electricity sector monitors the weekly electricity output of agencies and units from district to commune and regularly notifies the units. Since then, people's awareness of electricity use has been raised.
In Van Quan district (Lang Son), recently, the local authorities and functional agencies have implemented many synchronous solutions, especially strengthening propaganda and raising people's awareness of using electricity economically and effectively during the hot season.

Thanks to the synchronous implementation of solutions in promoting electricity saving, according to statistics of Van Quan Electricity, since the beginning of the hot season until now, the electricity consumption in the area has only increased by about 8-10% compared to previous months, basically meeting the plan.
According to Mr. Nong Van Luan, Van Quan Electricity, Van Quan District, Lang Son Province, thanks to the participation of authorities at all levels, as well as widespread, regular and continuous propaganda, people's awareness of saving electricity has been raised. Many people are aware of using electricity economically, using reasonable devices with energy labels; limiting the use of energy-consuming devices...
Currently, the hot weather is still in progress, and the demand for electricity for daily life and production is forecast to continue to increase sharply, especially during periods of prolonged hot weather. Therefore, saving electricity is still extremely necessary. Therefore, in addition to continuing to promote propaganda by authorities and the Electricity sector, people also need to implement measures to use electricity economically, safely and effectively, contributing to reducing the burden of electricity costs and ensuring energy security in the locality.
