Present at the first voluntary blood donation festival of Trieu Phong district in 2025 very early, Mr. Nguyen Chon Cam, 39 years old, a teacher at Vinh Dinh High School, filled out a voluntary blood donation registration form and underwent health check-ups and screening according to the procedure before having his blood drawn by doctors from the Hematology - Blood Transfusion Center, Hue Central Hospital. In nearly 20 years of volunteer blood donation, Mr. Cam has donated his precious blood 33 times.

For Mr. Cam, voluntary blood donation is not only a meaningful act but also a noble responsibility of a citizen towards the community. Mr. Cam shared: “Over the years, whenever there are voluntary blood donation campaigns in the district, I always participate. I think my drops of blood will help patients in need of blood through critical conditions, bringing life to everyone; after each blood donation, I feel normal in health, hoping that everyone will respond, so that the voluntary blood donation movement in the district will develop more and more”.

For Ms. Vo Thi Thom, Nai Cuu village, Trieu Thanh commune, this is the first time she has participated in voluntary blood donation. "Today is the first time I have participated in blood donation so I am a bit nervous but realizing the noble humanitarian meaning of voluntary blood donation, I am ready to share drops of blood with human affection, contributing to prolonging the lives of many less fortunate people and more importantly, I feel my life is more meaningful and positive when participating in the voluntary blood donation program", Ms. Thom shared. After some worries, Ms. Thom was able to donate 250 ml of blood, she excitedly said that she will continue to participate in the next blood donation campaigns of Trieu Phong district.

In order for the voluntary blood donation movement to spread widely, every year, the Trieu Phong Voluntary Blood Donation Steering Committee has directed departments, branches, organizations, localities, and armed forces to promote propaganda work in many forms such as: Hanging banners, posters, slogans, propaganda on the radio system, through social networking sites; organizing voluntary blood donation campaigns on occasions such as: National Voluntary Blood Donation Day April 7; World Blood Donor Honor Day June 14... promptly encouraging, motivating, and rewarding groups and individuals with outstanding achievements in the voluntary blood donation movement.

Thereby, the voluntary blood donation movement was deployed to all subjects and received active participation and response from union members, youth, cadres, civil servants, public employees and people in the district.

Thanks to the focus on promoting propaganda, mobilizing and maintaining volunteers, in recent years, the Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation in Trieu Phong district has coordinated with departments, branches, organizations and localities in the area to successfully organize voluntary blood donation campaigns. On average, each year, Trieu Phong district organizes 4 blood donation campaigns, each attracting over 1,200 volunteers to register to donate blood, receiving over 1,000 units of blood.

Chairman of the Trieu Phong District Red Cross Society Pham Van Kien said: “Since the launch of the voluntary blood donation movement, many outstanding groups and individuals have emerged in the district, willing to share their blood, contributing to bringing life to many patients in need of blood. This shows that people's awareness of donating blood to save lives has changed positively, truly becoming a cultural beauty of each individual and the whole community.”

In order to achieve high results in voluntary blood donation in 2025 and the following years, the Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation in Trieu Phong district continues to promote propaganda and mobilization work, cadres, civil servants, workers, public employees, armed forces and people of all walks of life to actively respond to the voluntary blood donation movement; focus on health care, commend the spirit of blood donors, thereby spreading noble deeds and great humanity in the community.

With the message "Donating blood to save lives - a noble gesture", in 2025, the Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation in Trieu Phong district organized 4 blood donation campaigns, striving to mobilize and receive 1,226 units of blood or more, achieving the target assigned by the province.

The voluntary blood donation movement in Trieu Phong district is spreading widely among all cadres, party members and people of all walks of life. The drops of blood of love not only bring life to many people but also spread the feelings, sharing, and mutual love between people. That is also the good spirit, inherent in Trieu Phong people who live with love, solidarity, sharing and responsibility to society.
