Deepening relations between the two ruling parties of Vietnam and Venezuela

Deputy Head of the Central Committee for Mass Mobilization Nguyen Lam emphasized that the purpose of the visit is to promote friendship and cooperation between the Communist Party of Vietnam and the ruling United Socialist Party of Venezuela.

From July 19-23, a delegation of the Communist Party of Vietnam led by comrade Nguyen Lam - Deputy Head of the Central Committee for Mass Mobilization, paid a working visit to Venezuela.

The delegation paid a courtesy call to First Vice President of the United Socialist Party (PSUV) Diosdado Cabello Rondón, held talks with Politburo member and PSUV Vice President in charge of mass mobilization Nahúm Fernández, and visited and worked with Minister of Community and Social Affairs Jorge Arreaza.

At the meetings, Deputy Head of the Central Committee for Mass Mobilization Nguyen Lam emphasized that the purpose of the visit is to promote the friendship and cooperation between the Communist Party of Vietnam and the ruling PSUV Party, thereby contributing to strengthening and deepening the traditional friendship and comprehensive partnership between Vietnam and Venezuela in all fields.

Reporting on the main features of Vietnam's socio-economic development and the results achieved in implementing the Resolution of the 13th National Congress, including foreign policy, Deputy Head of the Central Mass Mobilization Commission Nguyen Lam emphasized that the Communist Party of Vietnam identifies party foreign affairs as playing a core role in strategic orientation of foreign policies and guidelines, thereby developing good relations with political parties, contributing to building and consolidating the political foundation, facilitating Vietnam's relations with other countries and partners.

The Deputy Head of the Central Committee for Mass Mobilization thanked the Venezuelan people and progressive forces for their solidarity and support for Vietnam in the past struggle for national liberation and reunification as well as in the current national construction.

Regarding bilateral relations, Mr. Nguyen Lam expressed his hope that in the coming time, the two sides will continue to promote delegation exchanges at all levels, maintain mechanisms and agreements to further strengthen multi-faceted cooperation such as the political consultation mechanism between the two foreign ministries, the operating mechanism of the Intergovernmental Committee, continue to expand cooperation in areas such as culture, education, sports, closely coordinate and support each other in international forums.

On the Venezuelan side, the PSUV Party leaders welcomed and highly appreciated the working visit of the Communist Party of Vietnam delegation, emphasizing that the delegation's visit as well as the delegation exchange activities between the two parties and the two countries in the past time will contribute to consolidating and deepening the relationship between the two ruling parties and the comprehensive partnership between Venezuela and Vietnam.

Speaking at the reception, First Vice President of the PSUV Diosdado Cabello expressed his special affection for President Ho Chi Minh, his admiration for the past struggle for national liberation and reunification, and the Doi Moi cause initiated and led by the Communist Party of Vietnam.

PSUV First Vice President Diosdado Cabello emphasized that Vietnam has been, is, and will continue to be an example for Venezuela and the PSUV to follow; affirmed that Venezuela always values ​​the good traditional relationship and comprehensive partnership with Vietnam, and hopes that as two ruling parties, the PSUV and the Communist Party of Vietnam will continue to promote delegation exchanges at all levels, especially high-level delegations.

According to Mr. Cabelloi, in addition to increasing experience sharing in party building, state management, and mass mobilization, the two sides need to continue expanding economic, trade, and investment cooperation, especially in areas where both sides have strengths and potential such as oil and gas, agriculture, and economic-trade cooperation.

Also within the framework of the visit, the delegation of the Central Committee for Mass Mobilization attended the flower offering ceremony at the statue of President Ho Chi Minh in the capital Caracas, with the participation of many leaders and members of the PSUV as well as political parties in the ruling coalition, visited a number of PSUV Party facilities in the capital Caracas, visited the Embassy and met with the Vietnamese community in Venezuela.
