Kylian Mbappe is said to be torn between renewing his contract with PSG and agreeing to join Real Madrid amid an ultimatum - the deadline is January 15.
Kylian Mbappe's future with PSG or Real Madrid is always of interest. |
Real Madrid could talk to Kylian Mbappe in a few days when the winter transfer window opens (January 2024), when the PSG striker is free to negotiate pre-contract terms with other clubs.
According to Diario AS , although President Florentino Perez really likes Mbappe, Real Madrid's stance is clear, giving the striker two weeks to decide (until January 15, 2024), either agree to go to Bernabeu or they permanently close their interest in him.
From the perspective of French journalist Frederic Hermel through the above source, Mbappe is not really keen on going to Real Madrid because otherwise he wouldn't have hesitated like that.
“Mbappe doesn't know whether to renew with the Qatari-run club (PSG) or call President Florentino Perez to tell him he wants to wear the Real Madrid shirt.
Skepticism is a good thing to have in life, but like all good things, if you overdo it, it becomes bad.
And Mbappe's scepticism suggests that, deep down, he doesn't want to sign for Real Madrid that much.
Otherwise, Mbappe wouldn’t have done it on so many occasions. He wouldn’t have had to consider continuing his Paris adventure. Mbappe wouldn’t have been motivated by nonsense like becoming Ligue 1’s all-time top scorer.
The comfort at PSG seems to please Mbappe more than the risk of the Spaniard. His decision we should respect but if the scepticism is constant, it starts to become a lack of respect."
Mbappe's future is said to depend on PSG's Champions League journey and he will only make a decision when the team completes the tournament. It will certainly be discussed more, if fate brings PSG to face Real Madrid in the round of 16, with the draw taking place at 6pm, December 18.
