Resolutely fight against arguments that divide the police and the army

One of the plots and tricks in the strategy of "peaceful evolution" to sabotage the Vietnamese revolution by hostile forces is to "depoliticize" the armed forces, causing the armed forces to distance themselves from the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam, gradually lose their political direction, and cannot determine their combat goals and protection goals... When the armed forces are no longer a support, it will inevitably lead to the Party and the government no longer being protected, losing their role in leading, directing, and managing the country, and the regime will collapse.

In order to carry out the plot of "depoliticizing" the armed forces, recently, hostile forces have resorted to the trick of defaming, tarnishing the image, and lowering the prestige of the People's Army and the People's Public Security. To carry out this trick, on the one hand, they have stepped up propaganda activities that distort the good traditions of the People's Army and the People's Public Security, disseminated documents, spread false rumors, framed, and fabricated images to slander and defame the officers and soldiers of the People's Army and the People's Public Security...

In particular, they focus on propagating arguments that cause division in the close relationship and solidarity between the People's Public Security and the People's Army, in order to cause suspicion and animosity in the relationship between the Army and the Public Security with the aim of causing instability within the Public Security and the Army. They hope that officers and soldiers in the Army and the Public Security will gradually "degenerate in morality and lifestyle" and move towards "self-evolution" and "self-transformation", hoping to destroy the motivation, goals, and ideals of the people's armed forces.

The relationship between the People's Army and the People's Public Security is a relationship of revolutionary nature and deeply inherits the tradition of solidarity and patriotism of the nation. As President Ho Chi Minh affirmed: "The Public Security and the Army are the two arms of the people, of the Party, of the Government, of the proletarian dictatorship". The Vietnam People's Army and the Vietnam People's Public Security are the core forces in protecting the Fatherland, in the struggle to protect national safety and security, ensuring safety for the people, maintaining national sovereignty and territorial integrity. These two forces are both under the absolute and direct leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam. The People's Public Security and the People's Army always join hands, unite, unite, coordinate, work closely, stand side by side, excellently completing all tasks assigned by the Party, State and people, making an important contribution to the cause of building and defending the socialist Vietnamese Fatherland.

In the context that our entire Party, people and army are continuing to strive and resolve to effectively implement the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress; the resolutions and conclusions of the 13th Central Committee Conferences, especially the Resolution of the 8th Conference of the 13th Central Committee of the Party on "Strategy for protecting the Fatherland in the new situation". The Vietnam People's Army and the People's Public Security have closely followed the leadership of the Party and the management of the State, with great political determination, great efforts, drastic actions, and innovation in the way of working according to the motto of closely following reality, solving problems arising from reality and right from the grassroots, successfully implementing the set goals and requirements of the work tasks of maintaining national security, ensuring social order and safety, actively contributing to protecting independence, sovereignty, unity and territorial integrity, the interests of the country, creating a secure, safe and healthy environment to serve the task of socio-economic development and expanding foreign relations. The two forces have promptly and proactively discovered, advised and proposed to the Party and State many policies and solutions to protect security, order, and protect the borders and territories of the Fatherland; promulgate and perfect policies and laws on national security protection, ensuring social order and safety, national defense, security, and foreign affairs; ensure the Party's absolute and direct leadership in all aspects of the people's armed forces.

General To Lam, Minister of Public Security, affirmed that over the years, the close relationship between the People's Public Security (PPP) and the People's Army (PA) has always been a relationship imbued with revolutionary nature, deeply inheriting the nation's precious patriotic tradition, combined with the exemplary spirit, proactiveness, innovation, responsibility and political determination of the two forces, has contributed to enhancing the national defense and security potential, creating a stable political environment to serve the cause of national construction and development; increasingly consolidating the people's trust in the people's armed forces.

Comrade Tran Quoc Cuong, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Dien Bien Provincial Party Committee, hopes that the armed forces will continue to do a good job of coordinating and advising the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, and Provincial People's Committee to effectively perform the function of state management on military and national defense, building a national defense foundation associated with the people's security posture, the people's border defense, building a comprehensively strong defense zone and base. At the same time, do a good job of training, drills, military recruitment, basic construction work and defense diplomacy, creating a stable environment for local development. Continue to build clean and strong Party committees and organizations, associated with building "exemplary and typical" agencies and units. 2024 is a year of many important events for the province as well as the provincial armed forces. With the heavy task set, comrade Tran Quoc Cuong hopes that the Dien Bien Provincial Military Forces will promote their role as the core force in coordinating with local agencies and units to prepare and organize well the 70th Anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory and the 80th Anniversary of the Founding of the Vietnam People's Army.

In the coming time, we need to strengthen education, making each cadre and soldier correctly aware: Close coordination between the People's Army and the People's Police is an objective necessity, stemming from the revolutionary nature, functions and tasks of each force under the leadership of the Party and the management of the State. Implementing the direction of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong: "The Army and the Police must coordinate closely and harmoniously with each other like two wings of a bird in the cause of protecting the independence and maintaining the order and security of the Fatherland"...
