About 15 minutes before being admitted to the emergency room, male patient TCT (66 years old, Ha Nam) was working and suddenly lost consciousness, fainted, and responded poorly to calls. It is known that the patient did not fall or hit anything.
The patient was quickly taken to Medlatec General Hospital by his family for emergency treatment. In the face of the critical condition, the medical team urgently performed emergency surgery to intubate the patient to protect his airway, apply a balloon, and inject medication to control his blood pressure.
After the blood pressure was controlled and vital signs were ensured, the interdisciplinary team of doctors gathered for an emergency consultation. The patient underwent an electrocardiogram, tests, and a brain CT scan. The results concluded that Mr. T. had a pontine hemorrhage and a hypertensive crisis.
Fortunately, after 15 minutes of effort from the entire team, the dangerous situation was initially controlled, and vital signs were stable. The patient was transferred to a higher-level hospital for further treatment.
Directly commanding the emergency team, Master, Doctor Pham Duy Hung, Deputy Head of Internal Medicine Department, Emergency Resuscitation Department, Medlatec General Hospital said that cerebral hemorrhage is one of the common and dangerous stroke conditions.
People with cerebral hemorrhage, if not treated promptly, can lead to death, or experience serious complications such as lifelong disability.
Therefore, people should absolutely not be subjective when seeing relatives showing signs of sudden loss of consciousness and need to take them to the nearest medical facility for timely emergency care.
According to statistics, more than 80% of cerebral hemorrhage cases are caused by high blood pressure. High blood pressure is a regular increase in blood pressure on the blood vessel wall, when the pressure suddenly increases, it can cause the blood vessel to rupture and cause hemorrhage. This condition is caused by a person's blood pressure being very high, remaining high for a long time, or both.
According to Master Pham Duy Hung, cerebral hemorrhage is a serious health condition that can lead to many complications, including death, lifelong disability, language disorders, hydrocephalus syndrome, meningitis...
Doctors say that early recognition of hemorrhagic stroke symptoms will help people handle the situation promptly, thereby increasing the survival rate and limiting complications for patients.
Symptoms of a hemorrhagic stroke may include one or more of the following: Headache (a sudden, severe headache that does not subside despite the use of headache medications).
Speech disorder (slurred speech, difficulty speaking, inability to speak a complete sentence). Weakness, paralysis on one side of the body, difficulty moving both arms up at the same time. Facial distortion, facial asymmetry, sagging on one side of the face.
Decreased vision, blurred vision, double vision, or even loss of vision. Sensitivity to light (photophobia). Dizziness; loss of balance; nausea; vomiting; stiff neck; seizures; unconsciousness, or fainting; coma.
With the question of how to prevent stroke, cerebral hemorrhage according to doctors, control blood pressure by following the treatment regimen, implementing a lifestyle according to the doctor's instructions and regularly checking blood pressure.
People need to control their cholesterol because high cholesterol can increase the risk of arteriosclerosis, a condition that weakens blood vessel walls. Controlling cholesterol with medication and a healthy lifestyle can help reduce the risk of hemorrhagic stroke.
In addition, do not smoke because smoking is one of the risk factors leading to hemorrhagic stroke that needs to be limited. Limit alcohol consumption: Drinking too much alcohol can increase blood pressure and increase the risk of hemorrhagic stroke.
Regarding nutrition, people need to eat a lot of green vegetables, fresh fruits, limit red meat, animal organs... a healthy diet can help control blood pressure, cholesterol and blood sugar, thereby limiting the risk of stroke.
Maintain daily physical activity to prevent obesity, control cholesterol levels and improve health. Regular health check-ups are also an effective way for doctors to detect and promptly treat risk factors for hemorrhagic stroke.
