Phu Thi Dong residential area organizes National Great Unity Day

This morning, November 3, Phu Thi Dong Residential Area, Ho Xa Town, Vinh Linh District, Quang Tri Province, organized the National Great Unity Day and the Military-People Cultural Festival to celebrate the 94th anniversary of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Traditional Day November 18 (1930 - 2024). Phu Thi Dong residential area currently has 208 households with 805 people. In recent times, the Party Committee, Executive Committee, Front and mass organizations of the neighborhood have focused on leading and propagating to the people to overcome all difficulties, enhance the will of self-reliance, and strive to exceed the targets of socio-economic development, national defense and security. The role of exemplary and prestigious people in building the great national unity bloc has been promoted, thereby promptly resolving problems arising in the area.

The campaign "All people unite to build civilized urban areas" associated with helping each other develop the economy has been effectively implemented. People's lives have improved, with an estimated average income per capita of 58 million VND/person in 2024. The number of poor households has decreased to 2, and the number of near-poor households has decreased to 5 by the end of 2023.

Last year, the entire residential area had 203 households recognized as cultural families; 10 households were recognized as typical cultural families. Cultural, artistic and sports activities were actively implemented. Environmental sanitation work was ensured, bright, green, clean and beautiful. 100% of children of school age went to school; there were no malnourished or drop-out children.

The work of implementing democracy, representing and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of the People; supervising and providing social criticism; participating in preventing corruption and waste; building a clean and strong Party and government... has been actively carried out.

On this occasion, Phu Thi Dong Residential Area set out many goals and tasks for the coming time; launched emulation campaigns and patriotic emulation movements in 2025.

Speaking to share joy with the cadres and people of Phu Thi Dong Residential Area, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Board Phan Van Phung emphasized that although it was only established 5 years ago with many difficulties as a starting point, with all efforts, Phu Thi Dong has had a positive change in appearance, and people's lives have been increasingly improved.

The Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organizing Committee requested that the people of the neighborhood continue to promote the achieved results, strengthen consensus and solidarity among the people; children working far away need attention and support from all resources so that their hometown can perfect the institutions in the area.

For the Party Committee, the neighborhood Party cell needs to strengthen its fighting spirit, demonstrate its leadership role, be a pioneer, spread the spirit of solidarity within the Party, and contribute to building an increasingly prosperous and beautiful homeland.

At the festival, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organizing Committee Phan Van Phung and local leaders cut the ribbon to inaugurate the Phu Thi Dong Quarter Cultural House. After 10 months of construction, the project was completed and handed over in October 2024 with an area of ^​​271m2 , a yard area of ^{​​2,400m2} , a fence and gate of 115m2, a total investment of nearly 3.3 billion VND, including a great contribution of land, funds, assets and working days from the people. The completed project, put into use, will well meet the needs of community activities, entertainment and study of the people in the neighborhood.

On this occasion, the leaders of the province, Vinh Linh district and Ho Xa town presented many gifts to policy families and poor households in Phu Thi Dong Residential Area. Ho Xa town People's Committee commended and rewarded many collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in implementing patriotic emulation movements in Phu Thi Dong Residential Area.
