22 people prosecuted in Trinh Van Quyet case of fraud and stock manipulation

On January 31, the Ministry of Public Security's Investigation Police Agency announced that it had issued additional decisions to prosecute the accused, arrest the accused for temporary detention, prohibit them from leaving their place of residence; search the residence and workplace of 22 accused in the case of fraud and appropriation of property occurring at FLC Group Corporation, BOS Securities Corporation, FLC Faros Construction Corporation and related companies.

Accordingly, the Ministry of Public Security's Investigation Police Agency is investigating a case of stock market manipulation and property fraud occurring at FLC Group Corporation, BOS Securities Corporation, FLC Faros Construction Corporation and related companies.

22 people prosecuted in Trinh Van Quyet case of fraud and stock manipulation

The Supreme People's Procuracy returned the case file and requested additional investigation in December 2023.

Up to now, the Investigation Police Agency of the Ministry of Public Security has investigated and clarified the violations of 22 subjects who were former leaders of Faros Construction Joint Stock Company, companies under FLC Group, Auditing Company and relatives of Mr. Trinh Van Quyet who acted as accomplices, actively assisted Mr. Trinh Van Quyet, former Chairman of the Board of Directors of FLC Group Joint Stock Company, in "fraudulently appropriating assets" by raising the charter capital of FLC Faros Construction Joint Stock Company from VND 1.5 billion to VND 4,300 billion, equivalent to 430 million shares, listed on the HOSE stock exchange, and selling and appropriating investors' money.

Therefore, the Investigation Police Agency of the Ministry of Public Security has issued additional decisions to prosecute the accused, to arrest the accused for temporary detention, to prohibit them from leaving their place of residence; to search the residence and workplace of 22 accused for the crime of fraud to appropriate property, as prescribed in Clause 4, Article 174 of the 2015 Penal Code, and to act as accomplices.

Trinh Van Dai, former Chairman of the Board of Directors, Deputy General Director of Faros Construction Joint Stock Company.

Do Nhu Tuan, former General Director of Faros Construction Joint Stock Company.

Nguyen Van Manh, former member of the Board of Directors of Faros Construction Joint Stock Company (brother-in-law of Trinh Van Quyet).

Dam Mai Huong, former Chief Accountant of Faros Construction Joint Stock Company.

Nguyen Van Thanh, former Head of Supervisory Board of Faros Construction Joint Stock Company.

Hoang Thi Thu Ha, Accountant of FLC Land LLC.

Tran The Anh, Deputy General Director of FLC Group.

Do Quang Lam, former General Director of Faros Construction Joint Stock Company.

Nguyen Thanh Binh, former Deputy General Director of FLC Group, Chairman of the Board of Directors of RTS Company.

Le Thanh Vinh, former Chairman of the Board of Directors of Faros Construction Joint Stock Company.

Nguyen Tien Dung, former General Director of Faros Construction Joint Stock Company.

Le Tan Son, former Deputy Chief of Office, Secretary of the Board of Directors of FLC Group.

Truong Van Tai, employee of FLC Group Corporation Office (driver for Trinh Van Quyet).

Nguyen Binh Phuong, former Chairman of the Board of Directors of FLC Faros Construction Joint Stock Company.

Nguyen Minh Diem, former administrative and human resources officer of BOS Securities Joint Stock Company.

Nguyen Thi Hong Dung (sister of Nguyen Van Manh, brother-in-law of Trinh Van Quyet).

Nguyen Ngoc Tinh, Chairman of the Board of Members, former General Director of Hanoi Auditing and Accounting Company Limited.

Le Van Tuan, Auditor, Hanoi Auditing and Accounting Company Limited.

The decisions and prosecution orders of the Ministry of Public Security's Investigation Police Agency have been approved by the Supreme People's Procuracy (Department 5) in accordance with the law.
