Lam Giang is a village of pure Cham ethnic people, the whole village has 693 households, of which nearly 80% are Cham people. In recent years, the implementation of the movement of the whole people uniting to build new rural areas has been supported by cadres, party members and Cham people. Thanks to that, the appearance of the Cham village here has improved significantly. It must be mentioned that the Movement to build cultural families (GĐVH) directly has a positive impact on all areas of cultural and social life in the village. In 2023, 100% of households in the village registered for GĐVH, through 3-step evaluation, 681/693 households achieved the title of GĐVH (accounting for 98.27%), of which the households achieving the title of GĐVH for 3 consecutive years (2021 - 2023) accounted for 14.98%. In particular, the cultural identity of the nation is always preserved and promoted, becoming the traditional cultural beauty of the Cham ethnic community in folk belief festivals... creating a joyful, healthy atmosphere, uniting ethnic groups in residential areas. Backward customs, superstitions, child marriage, dowry, and funerals are eliminated. Population and family planning work is carried out effectively, children from 6 to 36 months old receive vaccines and vitamin A to prevent diseases at 100%, the rate of school-age children is 100%.

Along with that, the Cham people in Lam Giang village have unanimously developed the economy, eliminated hunger and reduced poverty, and increased income in many forms such as helping each other with capital, working days, and seedlings. In particular, poor households have been supported in economic development and housing construction. Many effective economic development models have been replicated, such as beef cattle farming, free-range chicken farming, rice seed development, fruit tree planting, etc. Thanks to that, the number of well-off households has increased to 430, the average household has 204, and the poor household has decreased to 3.89% (currently 27/693 poor households according to the new poverty standard). In particular, in the new rural construction movement, the villagers have unanimously and actively contributed land and funds to the State to concrete many rural roads. In 2023 alone, Lam Giang village built 5 cement concrete roads with a total cost of 606 million VND, of which people contributed over 212 million VND and contributed 50 million VND to build drainage pipes for residential area group 7. In addition, in response to the National Tourism Year with the theme "Binh Thuan - Green Convergence", people in the village coordinated to clean up, clear bushes and dredge drains, and plant trees along Lam Giang village roads. Thanks to that, a new look has been created for the landscape, environment, and rural appearance of the Cham ethnic group here.

Maintain cultural village

Along with that, the Village Mobilization Committee coordinated with organizations, dignitaries, and religions to continue maintaining the models of "Religious dignitaries participating in maintaining security and order", "Core group propagating and mobilizing to reduce the situation of early marriage and incestuous marriage", "Women propagating and preventing violence and abuse against women and children". During the year, the Village Mobilization Committee coordinated with the Commune Front to newly establish the skillful Mass Mobilization model "Residential area protecting the environment" in Group 2 of Lam Giang village. At the same time, continue to coordinate with organizations to organize propaganda on the Party's Directives and Resolutions, the State's laws, the mass movement to protect national security and prevent crime. Thereby, the sense of responsibility and solidarity among the people are increasingly raised, security and order are maintained, social evils are pushed back, and there are no more cases of petitions going beyond the level. The spirit of solidarity and mutual love is promoted, through the mobilization of the "For the poor" fund and the "Repaying gratitude" fund, the village has achieved and exceeded the targets assigned by the superiors. With the above efforts, in 2023, Lam Giang village has maintained a cultural village for many consecutive years and proposed the district to recognize the cultural village and the model cultural village in 2023. It can be seen that the results of new rural construction in Lam Giang village have become a bright spot in the Cham ethnic area in Ham Thuan Bac district, contributing to many outstanding achievements for the locality in new rural construction in recent times.
