Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism gives opinions on the appraisal of the Temple at the relics of High Points 1015 and 1049 in Kon Tum province

The document stated that the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism received Document No. 34/TTr-UBND dated April 8, 2025 of the People's Committee of Kon Tum province requesting appraisal of the construction investment project with the attached Economic - Technical Report of the Temple project at the National Special Historical Sites of High Point 1015 and High Point 1049, Sa Thay district, Kon Tum province. After studying, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism gave appraisal opinions on a number of items in the report.

Temple at the relics of High Points 1015 and 1049 in Kon Tum province

Specifically, the agreement on the Economic - Technical Report on the construction of the Temple at the High Point 1015 and High Point 1049 relics (belonging to the Dak To - Tan Canh Victory relic) includes the construction of 2 Temples to worship heroic martyrs at High Point 1015 and High Point 1049, with a scale of about 24m2; and the renovation of related gardens.

However, it is necessary to adjust the name of the file and the project item to the Economic - Technical Report on the restoration of the monument stele area, item: restoration and construction of the Heroic Martyrs Memorial House (because at High Point 1015 and High Point 1049 there is an existing monument stele house).

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism requested the People's Committee of Kon Tum province to direct relevant authorities to pay attention to the location of the project at High Point 1049; the form of the Memorial House and the dossier.

Specifically, regarding the location of the construction at High Point 1049, it is necessary to calculate the displacement to the Northeast (the Memorial House overlooks the courtyard between the Stele House and the flagpole) so that the roof edge and the edge of the Stele House do not face directly into the middle of the Memorial House.

Regarding the form of the Memorial House, the curvature of the roof corners should be reduced. On the ridge, only the roof clamps should be made at the two ends and the "tiger carrying the sun" detail should be made in the middle (do not make a pair of dragons facing each other on the ridge, because the ridge is not long enough). The National Language should be used in parallel sentences and horizontal lacquered boards. Consider not placing Uncle Ho's picture in the shrine.

For the dossier, it is necessary to add a set of color photos of the current status of the relic and the construction area (photo size 10cm x 15cm, taken at the time of survey).

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism recommends that within 60 days from the date of handover and putting the project into use, the investor must send the Project Diary and Completion Document to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism through the Department of Cultural Heritage for storage and to serve the management of the relic.
