(NLDO) - A wool warehouse about 200 square meters wide in a residential area in Ward 10, Da Lat City created a column of smoke dozens of meters high.
Smoke columns tens of meters high rose from a wool warehouse fire in Da Lat city.
The fire broke out at around 7 p.m. on March 4 at a house containing tons of wool in an alley on Le Van Tam Street, Ward 10, Da Lat City, Lam Dong.
According to initial information, at that time, people discovered smoke billowing from the house above. Because inside there were tons of wool, fabric and some machinery equipment, the fire broke out strongly, creating a large column of smoke.

When the fire was discovered, people living next to the factory used water and mini fire extinguishers to put out the fire but were unsuccessful. Some neighboring houses and a few nearby tourist businesses quickly evacuated the area.
Many fire trucks and dozens of firefighters were deployed at the scene.
The Lam Dong Provincial Police Fire Prevention and Fighting Police mobilized many fire trucks and dozens of officers and soldiers to the scene, approaching from many directions to spray water to put out the fire. The fire was quickly controlled, but because there were many smoldering materials inside, a lot of smoke was still coming out.
Because it contained many flammable materials, the smoke column from the fire was tens of meters high.
At the scene, many properties inside were burned down, and the roof of the house also partially collapsed. Local authorities said the house was about 200 square meters in size, with about 10 tons of wool inside. Fortunately, the fire did not cause any human casualties.
