The show "Beautiful Sister" was pushed down to seventh place with about 93,642 discussions. The show "Beautiful Sister" could not even compete with the final round of "Rap Viet", which was running out of steam after 4 seasons. The show, which gathered 30 female artists, was also not as popular as the music show taking place in Ho Chi Minh City with the participation of the international music group Imagine Dragons.
By the third week of December (December 11-17), Chi Dep rose to second place on the game show rankings thanks to the tearful eliminations of Ngoc Anh, Ai Phuong, Dong Anh Quynh and Thuy Hien, behind the Rap Viet final.
Just a week later, Pretty Sister returned to its boring routine after the controversial elimination round. The game show disappeared from Socialite's trending keyword rankings.
The beauty completely lost her appeal before a series of entertainment - sports events that took place at the end of the year such as AFF Cup, Blue Wave voting, Wave 25 Concert, showcase The Guardian Quartet by Tran Thanh, movie Sister in law and two New Year's Eve music events.
The show is getting boring
Compared to season one, Pretty Sister Riding the Wind 2024 is no longer attractive.
The first season premiere attracted more than 6 million views, the following episodes were consistently around 3-4 million views. But by season two, all figures had dropped by half. The premiere episode of 30 Beautiful Sisters season 2 only had about 3.2 million views. The return of My Linh and Thu Phuong also failed to attract viewers.
Usually, the most attractive element of game show are dramas (besides the professional factor). In season two, Beautiful Sister also caused controversy, but mostly due to technical problems and music quality.
Right from episode 1, the show revealed many technical errors. The audience was annoyed when the images and sounds of the artists did not match, and some scenes clearly revealed mixed backstage sounds.
The mistake that viewers found hard to accept was that Dong Anh Quynh was mistakenly credited as Ngoc Thanh Tam during the interview. Although the organizers explained that the incident happened due to a technical problem when uploading the episode to YouTube, viewers still felt uncomfortable.
In the later rounds of performances, the quality of music, technique and stage improved, however the music did not particularly impress the audience. Until episode 10 - 2/3 of the way through, the most discussed song on social media platforms was almost exclusively A world of two hands.
Surprisingly, after a week of going viral, the two artists with hit songs, Ngoc Anh and Thuy Hien, were eliminated. Previously, the audience reacted strongly when these two beauties were almost ignored during the team selection process.
After four rounds of performances, what makes Chi Dep increasingly boring and out of breath is the lengthy editing process, each episode lasts up to 2 hours, making it difficult for the audience to grasp. Overlapping and constantly changing rules also make Chi Dep gradually lose its focus.
The discussion around the beauties on social networks is not high, mainly revolving around some familiar names such as Kieu Anh, Minh Hang, MisThy, Toc Tien... Some beauties like Tuimi, Maitinhvi... were completely forgotten throughout 10 episodes. It is also difficult for the audience to fully name the 30 beauties participating in the program.
With only 4 episodes left until the finale, Beautiful Sister must change if she wants to stay in the hearts of the audience. However, with a series of entertainment events and year-end programs appearing massively, along with the news that the Brother concert will take place again, Beautiful Sister is at risk of falling into oblivion after two seasons.
