In early September 2024, Comrade Nguyen Thi Thu Lan - Secretary of Tam Ky City Party Committee attended the regular meeting of the Party Cell of Truong Dong block, Tan Thanh ward. 90% of the Party Cell members attended this meeting.

The meeting took place in accordance with regulations and achieved good quality. The fact that the Secretary of the City Party Committee attended the meeting with the Truong Dong grassroots Party Cell created excitement and increased the trust of party members in the superior leaders.

Mr. Tran Van Tuong, a Party member of Truong Dong block, said: “The participation of senior leaders in activities with grassroots Party members like this demonstrates the Party’s spirit, cares for the grassroots, and encourages the Party members’ spirit. Through this, senior leaders will better understand the Party building work at the grassroots level to have close and effective direction.”

It was not because of the participation of the Secretary of the City Party Committee that the regular meeting of the Truong Dong block Party cell was so exciting, but basically the majority of the Party cell members were very responsible for the development of the locality.

The opinions of party members are very accurate, such as suggestions on innovation of party cell activities, development of new party members, and building cultural institutions. In particular, some opinions on the existence of the Northwest Model Urban Area Project were specifically reflected by party members.

The Secretary of the City Party Committee received and responded so that the Party cell members could grasp the policy and continue to propagate and mobilize people to agree.

However, realizing that this is a long-term project, causing difficulties for the lives of local people, and is under the jurisdiction of the province, the Secretary of the City Party Committee suggested that the Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee meet with the Party cell members to soon find a solution.

Also in the first week of September 2024, Provincial Party Secretary Luong Nguyen Minh Triet had a meeting with the Party Cell of Truong Dong Ward. Here, after listening to the report of the Party Cell Executive Committee, opinions of Party members and through a field survey, the Provincial Party Secretary acknowledged and highly appreciated the results achieved by the Party Cell of Truong Dong Ward in implementing political tasks, socio-economic targets, collecting fees, funds, and mobilizing socialization to build cultural institutions.

At the same time, he praised the Party cell members for having a firm grasp of the situation among the people, their thoughts, and their urgent needs. Regarding the Northwest Model Urban Area Project, the head of the province informed about the solution. At the same time, he affirmed that in the afternoon of the same day, he would direct the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and the relevant departments to focus on solving the problem as soon as possible.

Not only do provincial leaders participate in grassroots party cell activities, but in Tam Ky, every year the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee assigns comrades in the City Party Executive Committee to attend at least two activities at the grassroots party committee and cell, where they are assigned to stand. This not only creates conditions for the higher-level Party Committee to be close to the grassroots, but also acts as a bridge between the grassroots party organization and the higher-level Party Committee.

“Firstly, through attending Party cell meetings at the grassroots level and in residential areas, provincial and municipal leaders have a deep understanding of the Party organization’s activities at the grassroots level. Secondly, through such Party cell meetings, we can assess the implementation of the policy of improving the quality of Party cell activities in accordance with the spirit of Directive 10 and Directive 12 of the Secretariat.

Third, attending Party cell meetings in residential areas and residential areas is a very important channel for us to strengthen the work of grasping information about the ideological situation, mood, and public opinion of cadres, Party members, and people, and to have timely directions and instructions to remove obstacles right from the grassroots, right from the beginning, not allowing them to develop into hot spots or prominent issues in the area" - said comrade Nguyen Thi Thu Lan.
