During the ceremony there are many special sacrifices, ceremonies and performances.

According to the remaining documents, in the spring of the year Giap Ty 544, Ly Bi proclaimed himself king and founded the Van Xuan country. During his tour of the Ky Bo Hai Khau region, the king stopped at a high ground at the beginning of Truong Nhi village, next to the Trung Giang range. Here, the trees were lush, the climate was cool and fresh. The king issued an edict to build a temple for the people in the area to pay homage to the merits of their predecessors. Trung Mai Pagoda was formed from then, named Long Tuyen Tu. Through many ups and downs of history, the pagoda has been cared for and preserved by the people and Buddhist followers. In 1997, Trung Mai Pagoda was recognized by the Provincial People's Committee as a provincial-level historical and cultural relic. Every year, the locality holds a traditional festival to pay tribute to the merits of famous people and predecessors who have contributed to building the homeland and the country, while preserving and promoting the value of national cultural identity, meeting the aspirations of believers, Buddhists, people and visitors from all over.

The festival includes lion dance, dragon dance, spring palanquin procession, and folk games such as chess, human chess, tug of war, duck catching, etc.
