This evening, June 6, at the Provincial Service - Conference Center, the People's Committee of Quang Tri province coordinated with the Ministry of Industry and Trade to open the 2024 Trans-Asia Bridge - Quang Tri Trade and Tourism Fair. Speaking at the opening of the fair, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Duc Tien affirmed that Quang Tri province as well as the North Central provinces have favorable conditions to connect with large markets and dynamic economies of Asia such as China, India and ASEAN countries.
This is an area with the potential to become a production and consumption center and an important link in the global value chain, playing the role of a bridge for transportation, trade, investment and tourism between countries in the Asia-Pacific region.
The organization of the Trade and Tourism Fair - Trans-Asia Bridge - Quang Tri 2024 is an opportunity for provinces and cities across the country, provinces and cities on the East-West Economic Corridor to introduce economic, cultural, social achievements, potentials, advantages, and preferential policies to attract domestic and foreign investors.
At the same time, organize exhibitions, introduce strong and typical products, communicate and promote tourism of businesses, link to promote trade, tourism and investment.
Create conditions for domestic and foreign businesses and promotion agencies to meet, introduce and exchange products and goods, seek investment opportunities, negotiate and sign contracts, and promote products and brands to consumers and tourists.

The Trade and Tourism Fair - Trans-Asia Bridge - Quang Tri 2024 is part of a series of events responding to the Festival for Peace 2024, held for the first time in Quang Tri province with many rich and diverse activities.
Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Duc Tien believes that the fair will become an attractive destination for local people, domestic and foreign tourists to visit, shop, and stimulate consumption.
Thereby promoting production, contributing to maintaining economic growth, supporting businesses in building and developing brands, enhancing competitiveness, promoting quality products and services to expand the market.
This fair gathered over 400 booths from 200 enterprises, units, and trade promotion organizations from provinces and cities across the country such as: Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, Thua Thien Hue, Quang Binh, Ha Tinh, Nghe An, Thanh Hoa, Gia Lai, Ninh Binh, Hai Duong, Hung Yen, Lai Chau, Yen Bai, Hai Phong... In addition, there were a number of enterprises from the provinces of Savannakhet, Salavan, Champasak (Laos), Khone Kaen (Thailand).
Domestic booths focus mainly on industries with strengths and export potential such as: agricultural, forestry, seafood products and processed foods; handicrafts, wooden products; craft village products; garments, fashion; stationery; household appliances, children's toys; tourism services, real estate, finance, banking... The highlight will be the culinary booths, including typical dishes of Quang Tri province and traditional, typical dishes of provinces and cities across the country.
The international booths of businesses from Laos and Thailand include a variety of products and goods such as: wooden furniture, traditional cuisine (Xeno grilled chicken, Naphong grilled chicken, sausage, Lao beer, ginseng wine...), agricultural products (tea, honey, coffee, raisins...), handicrafts (vases, brass trays...), jewelry...
The fair, taking place from June 6 to 12, 2024, will include activities such as displaying, introducing and trading typical products and strengths of localities, music programs, and nightly art performances.
The Trade and Tourism Fair - Trans-Asia Bridge - Quang Tri is held every 3 years. Over the years, the fair has had nearly 1,500 booths of more than 700 domestic and foreign enterprises and organizations participating, including more than 100 booths of enterprises from Laos and Thailand; nearly 60 provinces/cities participated. Over the years, the fair has attracted more than 210,000 visitors and shoppers with total estimated revenue of over 60 billion VND.
