On the evening of November 25, at Thai Binh Square (Hoang Dieu Ward, Thai Binh City), the Provincial People's Committee held the opening ceremony of the 2024 International Agricultural Fair in the Northern Delta region. Attending the event were representatives of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Central Youth Union, the Vietnam Cooperative Alliance, the Lao Embassy in Vietnam; members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, leaders of the Provincial People's Council and People's Committee, leaders of provinces and cities in the Northern Delta region; leaders of departments, branches, localities in the province and a large number of people.

The 2024 International Agricultural Fair of the Northern Delta region has a scale of nearly 300 booths of more than 100 enterprises, cooperatives, and craft villages in and outside the province. Notably, this year's fair has 32 booths introducing OCOP products of districts and cities in the province, 70 booths displaying agricultural products of enterprises and cooperatives owned by young people nationwide, booths introducing products of cooperatives in the Northern Delta region, international enterprises and 12 provinces and cities in the Northern region. In addition, the fair has an exhibition area for ornamental plants of Thai Binh artisans. The fair takes place for 5 days, from November 25 to 30, 2024.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, comrade Nguyen Quang Hung, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Steering Committee for the fair organization emphasized: The International Agricultural Fair of the Northern Delta region in Thai Binh contributes to promoting the economic development of the provinces in the Northern Delta region in general and Thai Binh in particular.

Comrade Nguyen Quang Hung, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the fair organizing committee delivered the opening speech.

This is also a national trade promotion activity, promoting the socio-economic achievements of localities; an opportunity for organizations and individuals to trade, exchange experiences, seek partners to expand business markets, and apply scientific and technological advances to production. In particular, this year the fair is organized in conjunction with the National Rural Youth Festival, the 19th Luong Dinh Cua Award Ceremony and the 2024 Rural Youth Startup Project Competition, creating a series of major events in Thai Binh. The events create connections, cooperation in economic development, trade, tourism, and at the same time commend, honor, and reward outstanding young people in production, business, start-ups, participation in socio-economic development, new rural construction... Hopefully, the fair and events held in Thai Binh will bring many cooperation opportunities for farmers, businesses, and managers in the direction of agricultural and rural economic development. Businesses will promote product brands, find partners, sign many production and business contracts, creating momentum for businesses to develop and successfully integrate into the international economy.
