On the afternoon of March 28, in Hanoi, the Hanoi Department of Tourism coordinated with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lai Chau province to organize a meeting to introduce Lai Chau destinations to associations and travel businesses in Hanoi.

Lai Chau is a province in the Northwest region, where mountains create poetic and majestic landscapes.

Lai Chau province currently has many unique and quality tourism products, capable of competing in the regional and national markets, such as: ASEAN Community Tourism Village - Sin Suoi Ho; paragliding adventure tourist destination "Flying over the roof of Indochina" associated with experiencing Dao ethnic culture in O village; O Quy Ho pass adjacent to Sa Pa tourist area of Lao Cai; Bach Moc Luong Tu and Pu Ta Leng mountain peaks... These are all tourist areas and destinations that receive the attention of domestic and international tourists.

Lai Chau currently has 20 provincial-level tourist attractions, 133 tourist accommodation establishments (including 1 5-star hotel, 35 1-3 star hotels with more than 1,500 rooms) and 150 restaurants.

Currently, Lai Chau is implementing the project of connecting the Lai Chau-Lao Cai Expressway with Hanoi; the road tunnel project on National Highway 4D connecting Son Binh Commune (Tam Duong District, Lai Chau Province) with O Quy Ho (Lao Cai Province) to shorten the travel time from the localities to Lai Chau. This will contribute to promoting tourism in the coming time.

At the Conference, representatives of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lai Chau introduced the potentials and strengths of the province to representatives of tourism businesses in Hanoi.

However, Lai Chau tourism still faces many difficulties as it is the most remote province with underdeveloped transport infrastructure. Not to mention the neighboring provinces are all major tourist centers such as Moc Chau (Son La province), Sa Pa (Lao Cai province) and Dien Bien, famous for the ancient Dien Bien Phu battlefield and other majestic landscapes.

To strengthen cooperation between the two sides as well as to provide travel agencies in Hanoi with new products to serve tourists, representatives of travel agencies have proposed many solutions to increase the attractiveness of Lai Chau tourism, as well as committed to coordinate with Lai Chau tourism industry to promote propaganda and promotion.

In particular, the Hanoi UNESCO Travel Club will promote Lai Chau destination communication on the Club's communication channel system, organize caravan programs and establish a Lai Chau tour sales alliance to bring tourists to Lai Chau in the near future.

Representatives of businesses in Hanoi also suggested that Lai Chau tourism industry organize training courses, share experiences, improve service skills to improve the quality of human resources at destinations, accommodation facilities and service businesses, and at the same time, promote communication on social networking platforms with active participation of the community.

It is expected that the Hanoi Department of Tourism will soon deploy to bring travel businesses from the capital to Lai Chau to have more products suitable for the market.
