Under the bill, the United States would provide Ukraine with $15.1 billion in military aid through military training, intelligence sharing, increased presence in the European Command, and other activities through November 15, 2024; $11.8 billion in direct support for Ukraine's budget, and $2.2 billion to help the country improve priority areas such as transportation and energy.
In addition, the US will provide $1.7 billion in military equipment purchases for Ukraine and several partners to meet needs for air defense, artillery, maritime security and equipment maintenance.
Israel received a $10.6 billion aid package, including $4 billion to help improve its air defense capabilities and $1.2 billion to accelerate the deployment of the Iron Beam missile defense system; and $3.5 billion to help the country restore security and deterrence.
In addition, the US plans to provide $2 billion to support key partners in the Indo-Pacific. The package also includes $10 billion in humanitarian aid for people in affected areas, including Ukraine, the Gaza Strip and the West Bank.
Previously, on December 4, the White House urged the US Congress to soon pass a supplementary budget package because the aid budget for Ukraine is almost exhausted.
