On the morning of November 28 (local time), according to Lebanese state media and security sources, Israel launched a series of attacks on six areas in southern Lebanon.
The attack targeted the provinces of Markaba, Wazzani and Kfarchouba, Khiyam, Taybe and the agricultural plains around Marjayoun, all within 2km of the Green Line that demarcates the border between Lebanon and Israel. One of the security sources said two people were wounded in Markaba.

Neither Hezbollah nor Israel has commented on the attack.
A ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon’s Hezbollah militant group took effect on November 27 under a deal brokered by the United States and France, allowing people in both countries to begin returning home from devastated areas after 14 months of fighting.
Under the terms of the ceasefire, Israeli forces could take up to 60 days to withdraw from southern Lebanon and neither side is allowed to conduct offensive operations. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said he had instructed the military to prohibit people from returning to villages near the border.
The deal ended the bloodiest confrontation between Israel and the Iran-backed militant group in years.
US President Joe Biden affirmed that this is a necessary step to bring stability to the region, while emphasizing that the Lebanese government will be responsible for controlling the border area and preventing Hezbollah from re-establishing military infrastructure.
"The United States, with the full support of France and other allies, is committed to working with Israel and Lebanon to ensure that this agreement is fully and comprehensively implemented... We, along with France and others, will provide the necessary support to ensure that the ceasefire agreement is fully and effectively implemented," said US President Joe Biden.
Meanwhile, French President Emmanuel Macron stressed that this ceasefire will protect Israel from the threat from the Hezbollah military group in Lebanon and create conditions for a "lasting peace".
