Accordingly, the iPhone SE 4 is said to have a similar design to the iPhone 14 but with many notable improvements. In particular, the device is expected to be equipped with an OLED screen with a rabbit ear, 6.06 inches in size, integrated FaceID instead of a Touch ID fingerprint sensor.
Previously, according to a report from MacRumors as well as a share by the Unknownz21 account on social network X, the iPhone SE 4 will be a modified version of the iPhone 14 with an impressive 6.1-inch OLED screen, 2432 x 1170 pixel resolution and 460ppi pixel density.
This is the first time a device in the SE series is equipped with an OLED screen, showing that Apple is paying more attention to improving the user experience even for products in the low-cost segment.
In terms of design, the iPhone SE 4 will have a square frame, flat glass on both the front and back like the iPhone 14. Another notable point is that this phone will remove the traditional Home button and replace it with Face ID technology, making it more modern and keeping up with the general trend of the iPhone product line.
The leak also suggests the device will have a USB-C port, a battery capacity similar to the iPhone 14, 8GB of RAM to support Apple Intelligence features, and a multi-function Action button to replace the mute switch. The iPhone SE 4 is expected to be the first smartphone to feature a 5G chip designed by Apple.
In addition, the new iPhone SE model will integrate a 48MP rear camera and a 12MP front TrueDepth camera. The main camera is expected to have the same parameters as the iPhone 16 with Fusion technology for 2x zoom.
According to internal sources, LG Innotek - one of Apple's camera suppliers has started producing the camera module of the iPhone SE 4.
LG is known to stock up on components about 3 months before a new product is launched, so the iPhone SE 4 is likely to be launched in March 2025. The last time Apple announced the iPhone SE was March 18, 2022.
