Nam Dinh welcomed 768,000 tourists in the first quarter

According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism (DTC) of Nam Dinh, in the first quarter of 2025, many large-scale Spring festivals took place in the province, attracting a large number of tourists. Some typical festivals include the Spring Vieng Fair (Vu Ban, Nam Truc), Tran Temple Seal Opening Festival, Dai Bi Pagoda Festival (Nam Truc) and Ngoc Tien Village Festival (Xuan Truong).

Thanks to favorable weather, the number of tourists to Nam Dinh in the first quarter is estimated at about 768,000, up 7.4% over the same period in 2024. Total tourism revenue reached about 182 billion VND, up 10.9% over the previous year.

To meet the needs of tourists during the Lunar New Year and the Spring Festival season, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Nam Dinh has directed districts and cities to synchronously deploy many solutions such as strengthening State management of tourism activities, ensuring security and safety for tourists; checking and supervising the quality of services at accommodation establishments, tourist areas, restaurants, entertainment venues and passenger transport services.

At the same time, organize tourism promotion activities, including the Nam Dinh Tourism Photo Exhibition at the Tet Market "A Glimpse of Thanh Nam" 2025 and at the Tran Temple - Pho Minh Pagoda Relic Site. The exhibition booths introduce images of historical - cultural relics, scenic spots, festivals, cuisine, craft village products and local specialties, contributing to attracting tourists.

The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism also requires tourism service establishments in the province to fully prepare conditions to serve tourists, including: providing enough food and goods, ensuring food hygiene and safety; strictly implementing measures to prevent epidemics and fires; publicly posting service prices, selling at the correct prices; maintaining environmental sanitation, collecting waste promptly; arranging staff to support tourists, promptly answering questions and feedback from domestic and foreign tourists.
